Welcome, glad to see your putting a lot of effort towards your chameleon and I'm curious to see how it will look! Gunna be a sick enclosure for sure.
edit- even though your in FL I'd recommend looking at a cool mist humidifier. I'm in St. Augustine and was having trouble getting humidity above...
So far, my Panther hates the cup and climbs to the opposite end of the cage when I put it in. He will eat from tweezers which surprises me and makes it easy for me to make sure he's getting his dosage of Rep Cal. Mine loves to hunt, too. In fact, I was holding a cricket in the middle of the cage...
I was thinking the same thing the other day. I don't check my Facebook unless I don't pay my phone bill and use it as free messaging or to check out concerts in my area/good parties. I only have one friend who takes advantage of Facebook and advertises his photography and websites. This place is...
I'm thinkin it would be ok if you hung the flourecent light from the top by a couple chains and place your basking bulb in either the left or right compartment. Then, have your mister on the opposite side, so it doesn't spray your lights but its still high enough to spray most of the cage. I...
Hope you built that temporary cage already : )
you need a 5.0 reptisun uvb TUBE
mist king
house hold bulb works for basking
dripper
ficus works but i prefer the umbrella plant. place some large river rocks above the soil, but make sure they are too big for your chameleon to eat...
My habba goes off for 1 minnute every 3 hours and i have the same size cage. what species of fish lives in their : P. I suggest putting a towel at the bottom and maybe a small bowl under the high traffic areas.
how wide is it from the back to the front? It looks too shallow. You'd be better off using that wire to form two circles and place them on top of one another. Then, secure them with zip ties or something like this.

I'd save that piece of furniture for a future project after...
I'd clean it with soap and water, make sure there's nothing sharp like rusty nails or splinters, and spray it with a hose. Then, I'd sell it to a bird owner and pick up an aluminum Reptibreeze. I don't think polished wood is safe for your chameleon bc of the chemicals.
Actually, that's the reason why I bought it. Plus, I found one for $25 bucks w/shipping and they are like 44 new : ). I'm going to run it in between mistings and partially through the night.
Yes, mine looks extremely simple to mod. But, is it o.k to be pumping a constant flow into the cage? I'd imagine 30 minute intervals would be sufficient and I do have another timer sitting around. I've read it can cause respiratory problems..ANyways here's a pic for shits and gigs.
I cried a little. That cham is saying "Help me." Not your fault in anyway. I'm sure you'll have everything up to par in the future with the help from everyone on here. Be sure to clean everything and anything you put near or in the cage. If your going for live plants...get one from Tiki tiki...
do you guys point/mod yours so it's going directly into the cage? I have mine sitting level with w/my setup and it brought humidity up from 55 to 65. I have it facing away from the cage and I can feel the mist from 12 feet away. I'm glad I picked one up bc it will be great for winter.
lose the bowl and make a dripper :)
The water is good for bacteria and the heat lamp will help it grow faster. I suggest using the "Search" button because there is a lot of great info.
Heres my DIY dripper
You need to experiment with the size of the hole in the cap. I made it too big the...
