I get my crickets at petsmart and they carry two sizes of what they call small and large, I feed my 4 month old veiled 7-10 large crickets daily.

I have had many parakeets and other birds including parrots and cockatiels what you describe are both males :) a females cere ( the part above the beak where the nostrils are) is brown or tan on adult females and pink or light light tan on young females.

Sounds like replacing would get costly, unless the fake plants are falling apart then I would buy new, but Like I said if you do the bleach way, make sure you rinse very well :)

Speaking of Calcium at every feeding, I could not find a powdered calcium without D3 at my local pet stores, But they did have a liquid calcium without the D3 and I have been spraying his crickets with that, let dry on them then feed it to my veiled. What are all your thoughts about liquid...
