No...leave him, he should be fine. The cool thing about chameleons is they regulate their temperatures fairly well. He shouldn't get burnt. Can you do me a favor. Take a picture of your set up so I can take a look at it. I can probably give you some pointers on your setup.

From an outside business perspective...I work for a helicopter manufacture here in Philadelphia. The cost of our helicopters is ridiculous, but in the whole grand scheme of things, my company doesn't make that much of a profit building these helicopters. Where the company does make a profit...

I would say fruit flies are cheaper. Pin head crickets unless you bread them yourself, can get pretty expensive.

Is there only two breeders out there willing to show us your facilities?

I'm not certain about this, but I think I read an article recently about Hawaii and it's laws against importing chameleons to Hawaii. Before you do anything, I would Google some state laws concerning the import and export if chameleons to the island.
