this makes no sence at all, there is by far no short of supply with panthers of the locale you speak of. and you say the veileds are cheap because petsmart carrys them, HAHA WFT? It is not sipmle supply and demand, there is a large supply of them.

but not a price of 5 to 1. I can sell 50 veileds at 40 each and total 2000, then sell 10 panthers at 200 each and get the same total. Ok 50 veileds will cost more to feed and house and all the other stuff you mentioned, right?

Whats the difference in the price of raising the panther versus a carpet or veiled? All in all they are baby chameleons and most have the same requirements. I would just like to see them even out, they are easy, compared to a mellers or even a k. multi. One Question: Can breed and raise...

If this is the case then why isnt every chameleon the same price? Also, ok just say this is business price, What about all the panthers in the classified section for the same price from non commercial big dealers. Health, and customer service has no price, weither backyard or mansion home...

Eactly but you can get the same hatch rate if not better from a panther if you do it right. I actually had more problems with the veileds than panthers, this is because the veileds are becoming more and more imbred.

Thank you, well said, they really are overated. I could care less about the money, i have a full time job, I just like the hobby, I would sell them for 40 bucks each if it wouldnt screw every one else. I dont mind giving great deals and you can ask past customers Im not in it for the money.

    Opinions on Chameleon Pricing

Correct, this is what im trying to explain, people can say all they want about oh panthers are more expensive to raise than others, i call BS. They are just like any other chameleon actually i place them being number 2 with veiled being 1 on ease of care. You nailed it on the head with the paris...

This is going exactly where i wanted it to, How can you break even with a 90 dollar chameleon, ANSWER the SAME WAY YOU DO WITH A VEILED? I have bred both and see no difference. And Flux so your saying the reason the price is high is so that only the higher class can afford because they...

    Opinions on Chameleon Pricing

I agree with you totally, a panthers care is pretty low on the care scale if you ask me, look at the Usambara 2 horn breeders, small clutches, 1 year incubation, lower temps. Alot more to care for and only sell babies for 100-150 each, they should be a 200 buck chameleon. But they dont have the...

    Opinions on Chameleon Pricing

Chuck, I have done this in the past and have sold them for 90 bucks fast. So i dont have to try it again. I have been away from them for a year now because work was interfering, i now have to extra time for them, no im not going to become a profesional breeder, but will breed as i did in the...

    Opinions on Chameleon Pricing

There was no bashing of the sponsors, i just wanted to see where everyone stands on what they pay for chameleons. Thanks for you input though noob. You need to research, and be handy on your own. I can setup 20 cages that i built, breed my own feeders, build my own incubator and still come out...

    Opinions on Chameleon Pricing

Exactly, i have owned many panthers in the past and i dont see them being worth what people are paying. A 200 plus chameleon is not a panther, look at all the sponser on this forum what does every single one of them sell. Its like here in alabama at the reptile shows there is 95% ball pythons...

    Opinions on Chameleon Pricing

I see the panther pricing has not dropped much in the past few years at all. This completely makes no sense. There is no more cost in breeding a Panther than there is a Veiled. So whats the difference? Supply and Demand? No Way, there are many, many, many panther chameleons CB and ready to be...

    Everything cool is expensive

This will be easy to build, look at it as wood but use acrylic sheets. Its basically a fish aquarium with led lights in them. Oh yeah you will have to frost the acrylic will some sort of sand-blaster using glass bead or aluminum oxide.
