    Cham outside in AZ??

We went to the show on Sunday and really enjoyed it. Thought some of the veiled babies along the wall across from the entrance were tiny. I would be afraid to take something that small on. we came home with a beautiful bearded dragon...:):):)

    New enclosure

I believe he will outgrow this enclosure rather quickly, but that's okay. It's a lot of fun to set up these cages with new plants, vines and stuff. Hopefully I'll be able to hang the pothos when Tristan moves to his adult enclosure. I plan on hanging it from the ceiling and simply thread the...

    New enclosure

I will pay extra attention to that tonight. There is a two hour time span between the last misting and when the lights go out. I always dry out the trays underneath the plants after the last misting of the day to avoid bacteria etc.

    New enclosure

Thank you! Yes, all the plants are considered safe. I have ficus, schefflera, dracaena and pothos in there. The plants were washed several times in warm water with antibacterial Dawn, rinsed, rinsed, rinsed before being repotted in a sifted mix of organic peat moss and top soil. The floral vines...

    New enclosure

It's a 24x24x12. I was afraid to move him from his baby cage to the adult cage right away and thought this size enclosure would be a good step towards the big one.

    New enclosure

Hi, our 5 months old veiled moved into his new enlosure yesterday. He is our first veiled and we're still learning, so suggestions would be greatly appreciated. He has five real plants, three horizontal rows of fake vines, two horizontal sticks as well as two vertical branches to climb on. A...

    Flowering Plants?

Home Depot has a big selection right now. Depending on what vendor they get them from they charge you different prices in the 1 gallon size. The more expensive brand is almost $7.00.

    I've gone plant crazy

So glad I'm not the only plant nut. I just got back from Home Depot. They're having a special sale this weekend. All indoor plants except for the "Premium Plants" are marked down. I purchased a very nice 6" Schefflera for $3.33. Has anyone tried orchids inside a veiled's enclosure? I want to...

    Thank you

It's the same with the "Basic G" cleaner. You have to rinse, rinse, rinse and then rinse some more. I love the idea with the steam cleaner. I have to check if mine still works or if our hard water has killed it. Regarding the vet, I'm looking at Dr. Wright at the Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital...

    Thank you

Tristan is a boy, but I agree the spurs aren't visible on the picture. Before getting him I contacted Dr. Kevin Wright at the AEAH. He is supposed to be excellent too, and he was able to give me the names of two reptile vets at the emergency clinic in Gilbert. None of the places in our area...

    Thank you

This is Tristan our new little veiled. My daughter named him after one of the main characters in the book "Stardust". We have had Tristan for almost four weeks now and are totally in love with him. So far he has been living in a 12x18x20 all screen enclosure. However we think he's ready to be...
