I just need to rant.
So, I was out running errands yesterday and instead of stopping in at my usual pet store, I stopped in at one closer to my destination and bought Kukui a few dubias and crickets for the week.
While waiting for them to get my buggies, I decided to check out the...
I live in the schenectady area - I have tomorrow after 3pm off and most of monday off and I, myself, am very agile with climbing trees. If you'd like me to check out the area and get high up in there, let me know. I sent you a PM with my number.
Oh wicked! Yeah, my BF will be out in California, so i figured I'd send him out two days before I leave and send him overnight. I figured I had to ship him, anyway.
That was awesome! I work with an after school program and brought in my veiled for the kids to see. I love how you actually have a chameleon as a classroom pet! That is amazing!
So, in late August, I plan on moving across country to California to be with my boyfriend. I want to take my Veiled with me and I already have a friend lined up for my pygmys. My questions: would it be too stressful for him to be shipped? If not, what should I do to ship him? Do I need to start...
Pothos is a great hanging plant. I have two in my cage and the sprayer keeps them watered, the UV lamp gives them plenty of UV and my cham loves to nibble on the leaves. My suggestion is to take some rocks on put them over the dirt so there isn't any accidental indigestion of dirt, as I've...
ok, so my boyfriend offered to build me an awesome cham setup for when I move back to California. He's real handy with wood and can produce some neat things. However, I wasn't sure if there are any types of wood he shouldn't get? I figured something that produces sap, like a pine wood, would be...
So I have a 2 week long vacation planned (to see my boyfriend for the first time in 6 months. oh god so excited!) and my parents offered to watch over my pets while I'm gone. My cat is easy, the sugar glider is a tad more difficult, but still relatively easy compared to Kukui, my 9-10 month old...
OK, so this is gunna sound silly.
I'm just lounging around in Pintrest and I'm trying to think of the name of the chameleon that I really find absolutely stunning to add to my chameleon board...but I can't remember what it's called!
The one picture I clearly remember seeing - but I don't...
hey Lance - if you ever get any loser trying to scam you again, send 'em my way. I got a little Italian heat they can deal with. lol.
But seriously, if you ever need someone to explain how secure your packaging is and how trustworthy you really are, you let me know. I LOVE Kukui and when he...
For a dripper - I have a plastic container, the type that you get ready-made soup in at the store, and I took a needle and made a small pinprick. I have it dripping onto my pothos plant. I noticed that by just doing that, my humidity went from being a fluctuating 30-80% to a more regular...
I think it's the same diet - mine have been on a pellet diet since day 1, although the two of them have a tendency to inhale yogurt drops like it's no one's business. they will eat fruit, but Yogi will just lick the fruit while Cindy will be the World Messiest Eater.
I did find out, completely...
also, what do you feed them? I've started using the instant hpw and neither seems to like it much - I been putting a little bit in, on top of their regular food and they avoid the pieces with hpw on it, but if they get a bit on their noses, they lick it off like it's the yummiest thing ever.
hahaha! I know! Cindy is pretty chill and just likes her wheel, but yogi is freakin' crazy! he will run up the ramp of his cage, do a backflip, run in the wheel, poop and then repeat...all within 10 seconds. lol. Cindy, meanwhile, sits there and watches him and occasionally will crab *at* him...
but with cars and guns, you have to have licenses to own them. With pets, any dummy can walk into a store and buy something. It just grates on my nerves because there was a recent hullabaloo in the local area when a family decided to have their 7 year old pit bull put down when the wife found...
Honestly, I think that there should be a ban on exotic animals being sold to dumb people. I feel like too many pets are sold to idiots who think it looks cool - but they don't know the first thing about how to care for them. Or parents who think that buying a snake or a bunny for lil Bobby for...
YES! that is exactly what it looks like. I tried searching for past posts, but I guess my searching is not up to par. :/ I'll still take pictures anyway, so everyone can see how he's doing, maybe get some input that I can pass along to her about her setup. Thanks Trace!! You are awesome!!
