    The Chameleon Virus!

Do symptoms include pining away at other chameleon species you wish to own and pinning pictures of them on Pintrest? lol

    yellow body, red bar panther

Honestly, I don't care much for the locale or sire or dam or any of that jazz, but I have been trying to hunt down a male yellow body, red bar panther or a juvenile that is starting to show yellow body, red bar. PM me if you have anything available.

So... I ate my cricket gutload today...

I do a lot of my own juicing, so my crickets get the pulp from the juice (I HATE pulp) and I get the juice. And I will juice anything that would juice, but my fav is carrot juice mixed with any acidic fruit (orange, lime, lemon, etc).

    I went to PetSmart today

My first veiled was from petSmart and she had MBD when I got her. She was in my care for all of three months before she passed away. I tried my best to give her a happy loving home away from idiots. I wrote an extremely angry letter to PetSmart, called the BBB and even wrote a letter to the...

    Water?

Activated alumina (had to correct the typo, thanks autocorrect lol) filters remove flouride. You can buy them especially for your fridge, but they are wicked expensive. edited to add: we got ours as an add-on. When my roommates bought the fridge, they could opt for a regular water filter or the...

    just a simple question

I'm a candle addict. In the 5+ years of chameleon husbandry and burning scented candles (mainly from Yankee Candles), I've had not one issue. but that's just my experience. I do keep my chams near windows or outside frequently, though, so fresh air circulates better through their cage.

    Water?

hahahaha yeah, that's what I was trying to think of! I swear, the heat and humidity have fried my brain.

    where to store butterworms?

A dozen. not too many, because I wasn't sure if Kukui would like them or not. He doesn't like them as much as silk worms or horn worms, but he did eat the one I gave him this morning after a bit of hesitation.

    where to store butterworms?

I just got my shipment of butterworms today from Mulberry Farms. They look awesome and were promptly stuck in the fridge. However, i got home with a gigantic note next the butterworms that said "not human food." Add about a dozen more expletives and you can comprehend how irritated my...

    Water?

I echo what someone said about flouride in the tap water. HOWEVER, my fridge has a water filtration thingie on the outside that works perfectly fine - just make sure to check the filter every now and then so that it's actually working. a lot of better fridges now offered the filtered water from...

    a REAL manicure

Love other people's nail! Supergirl and Trillian - are those from plates or freehand? I tried using the plates, but I just couldn't get the hang of them! I do all freehand for now, until I can figure it out. lol

I used to have my Jackson's on my lanai and we never used it...except for our one superbowl party, where almost every single cham did the puff-and-stare until we moved the party inside. it was amusing to see 5 or so Jackson's puffing all at the same three people!

    a REAL manicure

After reading about Tonedo's need for a manicure, I got the urge to redo my nails. Now, mind you, I change my nailpolish on a weekly basis. I am a bit of an amateur nail art fiend. I can upload some (non chameleon) nail art, too, if anyone is interested. :) So, without further ado...my...

    Manicure

Awww maannn! As a woman who takes pristine care of my nails, I find this gross, too! I would suggest using a cuticle nipper to cut off the sharp corners so you don't cut yourself and risk an infection. A regular nil clipper won't really be able to get the tiny sides.

Fattening cham up before travel or no?

Thank you! That's why I figured I'd ask - I haven't the faintest idea how to prep my cham for shipping. Any other advice for prepping him for shipping?

Fattening cham up before travel or no?

So, i have my ticket bought to move out to San Diego and I already purchased my SYR kit to ship my male veiled out to San Diego as well. However, I was wondering if it is a good idea to fatten him up before shipping? Or would that not be a good idea? And by fatten up, I mean get him some...

    What is this?

Now that I've seen the pix, it doesn't look very pluggy to me. I've never seen a hemipenal prolapse go necrotic, so I would have NO idea what that looks like, so I am just as confused as you are. Ugh! I hope you figure it out soon and let us know how he is doing - you seem to be doing a...

    Found veiled in garden

How cool! And in SD??? Even crazier! I second the Found Lizard flyers. Post onto craigslist or see if anyone has. Put up flyers within a mile distance. The gray thing could be many different things. it would help if we had photos. I'm going with sperm plug, just because they tend to be a...

    lightest weight mister?

I won't have land, persay. I'm moving in with my boyfriend into his condo and he has a rather small, yet fully fenced in patio. He is going to be making the cages. when we lived in Hawaii, he made a bunch of cages for me for our Jacksons and they were awesome cages. But he will be making the...
