Good thing as foggers do more harm than good to chameleons.
How does you cup look like?
I prefer green or brown ones. For me it has proven best to use something like this: https://www.meinpaket.de/medias/sys_master/public/j/o/eh/10041494143006.jpg
It´s a bonding sheet which will make the...
I already thought about something like this, too.
But i guess that will make the enclosure pretty dark and also your cham might be shocked if a human suddenly appears and it wasn´t abled to see him when the cage was closed.
Good job!
I guess giving her a lot natural sunlight+ more VitD3 was the best to do in this case.
Can´t you leave her outside all day and night long?
This way you can probably get along without giving her any D3 at all.
Would you mind telling us how you keep and breed them?
I ask because i read that they usually take more than 4 months to hatch and it would be interesting to know how to make them hatch earlier.
How about watching her with a live-stream camera?
I´ve just recently seen a thread where somebody had a livestream to his digging female.
This way you can watch her aand she won´t notice.
Chameleons hear about nothing, so sound is not the problem.
But they don´t like strong vibrations like people running by or something.
Seems like your doing a good job until now, thanks :)
I would think it´s unusual for her to lay only two eggs and not the whole clutch.
She might have problems with laying the remaining eggs because they might stick together or be too big.
Normally eggbound females stop digging after a few tries and get back to their normal behaviour that they showed before they started digging.
Do you think she has problems with digging a deep enough tunnel or something?
I don´t know the Zilla bulb and have never seen those around here in Europe but i know the Reptisun is safe.
If by tonight you mean when the lights are off then please wait until tommorow.
Chams really need to be left alone at night so please do not disturb his sleep.
Why did you use that...
Hello,
adding more branches and plants would definitely be a good idea :)
What kind of UVB buld do you use (name)?
Get rid of the ceramic heater and get a spot with maybe 70W or so.
chams connect heat with light so they won´t recognize that this is a warmer spot.
Which measures does your...
How old is he?
Maybe you simply feed to much and have to little variety of feeders.
Many chams will regret to eat under such circumstances.
As far as i know the beetles from superworms have a cent glang and will therefor not be eaten.
Also you shouldn´t feed waxworms too often because many chams...
If she tries too often there might be something wrong with the substrate like it is too wet or to dry.
Maybe you disturbed her too often and she won´t dare to lay them because of that.
It may help to cover the cage with a towel or something so she will have more peace.
@ djfishygillz: i do...
Try to cover 2-3 sides with cork and get a misting system not a fogger!
Foggers are dangerous as they create very small drops which can be inhaled by your chameleon which again can lead to lung problems.
How long is he not eating already?
Which feeders have you tried and how did you try to feed him?
