This thread caught my eye and I thought it might be a good idea to try feeding them to my Lennon. Do you think aquatic snails would work? I cant seem to find anywhere that would have garden snails at a decent price.
Well the thing with mealworms is that they have a hard exo skeleton which in large amounts is difficult to digest. If you give meal worms, do once or twice a week.
Try silk worms. They are supposed to be really good for them. You can also use butterworms on an occasion.
I personally dont...
Great pictures! My veiled is similar. Ill open the cage for cleaning or to put some food in and he'll crawl all over me. But he doesnt like to be out for more than a couple minutes.
I do have some silkies. He's just soo picky and wont eat majority of the crickets. They all keep dyeing because he wont eat them. I was just thinking fruits and veggies, but ground up like baby food. I have heard others actually buying the stuff but Id rather just make it myself. Should of...
So some of you have probably already heard that I have a 6 month old veiled chameleon who is very picky about eating crickets and food in general. Today he did eat a lot of butter worms but I know that he needs more than just that so I was thinking, that why not make him some homemade baby...
Thanks everyone! Well Lennon ate three butter worms in a row today which he never does so I think I may watch him for this next day. Ill post another thread about this but Im thinking that since he so picky with crickets, maybe Ill give him homemade baby food a lot.
YAYAY! But unfortunately Lennon has not eaten anything in two days now so its off to the vet. I'm calling after school to make an appointment. I honestly think its an internal parasite so maybe Ill see if I can just have a fecal done with out having to pay for an exam. I dunno. He seems to...
I agree completely. People always get mad at me because I really think that in order to solve the over population of cats and dogs, we should humanly kill the small ones and use them as snake food. It would be much better than putting them into wood chippers which is what happened to the rest...
Wow! I go out for dinner and I come back and the thread is as packed as the restaurant. Bad joke, I know. Well thanks for sharing! I read all the posts and I love to see the names you guys have got!
Hello. Bored and waiting to go to dinner so I thought Id start something interesting. Id like to hear how people got their chameleons and if it was a rescue, then the big dramatic recovery stories, etc. Also names and why.
I got my veiled chameleon at a reptile expo last month. He is the...
Well the lighting is from his heat lamp so maybe its just that. It could have been dehydration though. That was taken a day after I got him from an EXPO but here is some more current photos.
Gotta love the cat in the background.
Gettin plenty of water.
