Rainbowmealworms.com is a good online feeder store.
They have sampler packs and are very reasonably priced.
Shipping is quite fast as well.
Even comes with a sticker on the box that says live animals.
They also over count,so,there's always a few more feeders than you purchase.
Hey guys,
So,I have a big magnolia tree in my yard and was thinking about using some of the branches for Gizmo's new enclosure.
My question is: Will the flowers hurt him if he eats them,or,should I just strip the branches?
Earthworm castings and lack of water has the same effect, actually.
I don't water any of my peppers until they begin to wilt.
Really ups the capsaicin production.
I've always used earthworm castings, silkworm castings and insect frass in my compost teas for my peppers, now I'm thinking I'll attempt it in my Chameleon enclosure when I go bioactive soon.
Not sure if I should just do a dry mix or a tea with Gizmo's plants or not.
He's right around the 6 month mark.
I've never used them before,so,maybe he's afraid of them.
He loves dubia, bsfl, silkworms and super worms.
He liked crickets for awhile, now he won't touch them either,so I've been trying hornworms to no avail.
So,still no luck with hornworms.
Not sure if it's because he's a bit spoiled on dubia or if they scare him, but,he just will not give them a chance, regardless of how I try feeding them.
I'm pretty certain they're not too big for him.
Might have to try silkworms instead.
That was my thought on it.
Once I upgrade,I imagine I could use the Monsoon for my indoor Capsicums.
Have to grow indoors until it warms up enough to stick'em outside.
Thank you for the info.
I plan on getting a Mistking in the future, but, until Gizmo is moved into his permanent enclosure,I'm just looking for something a little smaller.
FLchams has an extreme Chameleon cage bundle that I'm gonna be ordering soon.
It's 4x2x2 and comes with the MistKing starter...
Been thinking about getting a Monsoon for Gizmo's enclosure.
Been using a pressure sprayer on the fine mist setting, but,I'm ready for something automated.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it,and if it would be OK to run it alongside my fogger.
Thank you in advance for your...
That's a dang nice enclosure.
Thinking about pulling the trigger on one myself.
I just gotta figure where to buy those rock ledges that you can put plants in first.
It gives everyone, especially the more experienced keepers an idea of your husbandry and enclosure conditions.
They might be able to see something you may have missed and in turn be able to help you better, give advice etc.
Well, here lately,I've been thinking about planting a garden specifically for wild bugs.
I could plant everything that you'd normally find in an optimal gutload and just bring the bugs to me.
I can always put bug net over the garden I eat from.
I figured as much. Being out in the middle of nowhere, pesticides aren't an issue, but there's really no way to tell what they've been munching on.
Thank you for the information,though.
