After buying one of these and reading (afterwords) that these coiled bulbs are too concentrated for Chams, I bought the long tube version instead.
Is this coiled bulb good for any other types of Herps? I'll be getting two Russian Tortoise hatchlings soon and was wondering if the coiled bulbs...
Just something from my first experience when I brought home my chameleon . . . it took him a couple days to actually start eating. He ate a few crickets, but once he became adjusted to his new surroundings, his appetite adjusted accordingly.
Now he eats like a little pig :)

Yeah, some warm weather would be nice :) I'm waiting on a pair of Russian Tortoise hatchlings to come in from CA but the weather here is too cold for shipping. So, yeah . . . just a few days of warm weather will do nicely :)

Yeah, Petland is horrible. As someone mentioned, they get their puppies from puppy mills and mistreat all the rest of the animals.

Not very often. My cham is shy and avoids making eye contact with me. So, because of this, I leave him alone. Less stress on him.
I've read that some Chams are more personable than others, so it may very from Cham to Cham. But as for Baron, my cham, he is shy :) Adore him just the same, though.
Someone mentioned a growth spurt to me earlier, in another thread, and they couldn't be more right!
Baron, my 4.5 month old Veiled Chameleon, just had his first shedding this week and his appetite since then has been incredible! I think he'll eat as many crickets as I put into the feeder cup...
I think it differs state to state here in the USA. The FDA would have their regulations, but each state would their own as well.
