My jackson loves being spayed. He is over a year old and the direct mist is the only way i can get him to drink. I have only once noticed him licking a branch.
No one can help me out here?
It used to be i would ask a question on here and i would get to many responses. Now this is the second post in row that has had no replies.
I had bought some phoenix worms hoping that i could get some flies when they matured. I got one fly out of the 100 plus worms. Do i have to separate the cocoons from the worms or something? Also, i might have asked this already but, how often should i be feeding these worms? are they good to eat...
OK, i just replaced the UVB lights on my chameleon cage. The cage is 24 x 24 inches Width. And just over 3 feet tall. I have two 18 inch uvb tubes. I use to have two 5.0. Now i have a 5.0 and a 10.0. I thought that since he is over a year old now, that it would be adequate for him to have a 10.0...
Cool beans. I would like to try a veiled someday. Compared to a jacksons, a veiled will eat and try a lot of different things. I have ever witnessed my cham trying to eat something that didn't move. He might have scene something i didnt though, and got the rock on accident.
what kind of cham do you have? And yea i didnt think about it till now but when i first started using these rocks my cham was a lot smaller. I could prolly get some bigger ones so i dont have to worry about this.
Just went into my room where our jacksons chameleon is. As soon as i looked to see what he was doing he shot his tongue at a rock that was approximately an inch in diameter, lifted it to him mouth and gave it a good three to four chews before spitting it out. I could here his teeth hitting the...
OK so i have received my phoenix worms and super worms yesterday. He loves them both. I was just wondering are both of these types of worms healthy? I know the phoenix worms are because they are calcium enriched, but to what extent? And the supers, are these real fatty in any way?, do they offer...
Thanks for the kind replies. He seems to love it outside. Ill go to get him out of his normal cage and he wants to come out. I go to take him out of his outside cage and he tries to act tough, never wants to leave:)
Just wanted to share these pics of twitch. He was enjoying his time out side. He hasn't been able to get very much time out since this summer here in Michigan has been a cold and rainy one.
Thanks for the replies.
My only question left now is for those of you who use pill bugs, do you catch these from the wild and us them? I live in an area where pesticides are not used therefore, my only concern would be parasites??
I have a jacksons cham almost a year old now. His staple food is roaches but he also gets a lot of silkworms, horn worms, and crickets. He also gets a few meal worms, and wax worms.
He has never had a super worm. Manly because i have read threads on here in the past regarding chameleons not...
Is it uncommon for a chameleon to take more than a 45 mins to swallow a large size roach??
My chameleon is a jacksons about 10 months old now. The roach i gave him was no larger than his head. He has been munching on it forever now. He will get it most the way down, then regurgitate it back...
