    It's ok, I feel your pain. My chameleon just thinks my hand is food and will constantly shoot his tounge at it, but he never walks on. I do use a branch though!

    Females

    Most female chameleons that I know of usually lay eggs regardless of male contact. These eggs, however, will not be fertile. But you still have to provide a lay box, feed her extra, etc. That's why I have a male veiled!
