I have a piece of drift wood I found on the beach. I baked it and cleaned it a bit. It is around 3 inches wide and an inch in length. It has a lot of grooves and my cham loves to hid behind it.
I live in Louisiana and it is horrible. It seems the gov't is not doing anything to help this situation. Many people don't realize the lives this is destroying, that being human or not. Almost all of the shrimpers are out of business. The diversity of life in the marshes and wetlands on the gulf...
Next year I am going to be a senior. I will be attending Louisiana State University after that. I love all animals especially reptiles and amphibians in particular chameleons. I will probably major in pre veterinary medicine. Anyone on this board a vet? I would love to know some things about it...
I have a drip so she gets plenty of water. The temps are fine and she basks normally. I often think every little thing could hurt her so I just ask questions a lot. This is my first cham and I want her to be as happy as possible.

Mine is vvery sensitive to light. If I turn on the light to the guest room to get something off the printer or get a book her eyes open almost immediately. I suggest trying to turn the light off as much as possible.
I have had my female veiled, Stella, for about a month now and she is doing great. I know pretty much all the basics of chameleon keeping. Now the question is what to get next. I am fascinated by carpets, and i like smaller chams. So they are on the top of my list. I also love Nosy Be's because...
Those are awesome pictures. I don't know what the deal is. My cham will not eat super worms. I put them all over and in her cup but she has only eaten two.
My female veiled Stella seems to bask a lot. She is at the top of her cage for about 6 or 7 hours a day. The only time she goes to the bottom is to eat, drink, and sleep. Is this normal?
