I'm starting to free-range T-Rex, I open his cage door and have a good size ficus plant that I put right outside his cage door and I put branches connecting his plant in his cage to the ficus out of his cage and we put lots of branches for him to climb above the counter and such - a regular...
Twitching subsiding
Thank you guys so much for responding and giving me advice, it's so nice to be able to come on here to ask questions and get advise from all of you who have chams. T-rex was pretty active today - AFTER HE WAS DONE SHEDDING! I think that may have been the reason for the lack...
We have a dripper and I have it on a slow drip all day and he drinks from it quite often off and on all day - but mostly in the morning, we mist a few times a day and make sure the humidity gets up to 55 or 60 2-3 times a day (more often if we are home all day), otherwise the humidity stays at...
My 5 month old panther, T-Rex is twitching off and on and I don't know why or if there is something wrong. His body just kinda twitches every now and then, plus he is a little sluggish and not eating as much as he usually does. Has anyone experienced this with their chams? I'm worried about...
I have a baby panther chameleon and he only eats crickets, how do you feed them crickets in a cup without them jumping out? I'm just curious cuz I'm starting to free range him and I don't want crickets all over my house.
I just started to let my panther chameleon free range, I open his cage and got another big ficus plant that I put branches back and forth from it to the one in his cage so he can come in and out whenever he pleases and he just loves it. The only problem is that I free range his crickets too...
Thank you so much for the welcome and for responding. He's a 4 month old panther and he seems to handle the big adult crickets ok without choking but everyone says I should be giving him 1/2-2/3" or 3 week old crickets so I was just wondering if he could have health problems or get stomach aches...
My chameleon is just a little over 4 months old and I ordered him crickets from Armstrong. They sent the wrong size - they sent huge fat adult crickets. Yesterday I put a couple in for him to eat and he did fine - caught them, held them in his mouth for awhile and then crunched them up and...
Molding
Your pictures are awesome...I noticed you said you taped trash bags on the backs of the cages to prevent mold on the walls from the mistings, I taped saran wrap on the back, a strip on the top in front of the lighting/dripper and part way up on the side bottoms to keep my humidity up...
I am new to this site and in owning a chameleon. I've uploaded 3 pictures into the photo album but how do I get one of the pictures to come up next to my name when I'm posting or answering a thread?
Just out of curiosity, what kind of plastic did you use and how did you put it on? I taped saran wrap for now and I also use a vaporizer pointing in his cage 3 times a day for about an hour as well as misting, that's the only way I can get enough humidity in there. But my concern now is mold...
First of all, thank you for all your suggestions on how to keep the humidity up in my little T-Rex's cage, it turned out the thermometer I had was broke or not calibrated or something, so I got a new one - one for temp and one for humidity, between getting that and putting saran wrap on the back...
I live in the country in a rather small cottage and right now it's very cold and the only heat source we have is a potbelly stove fireplace. We just got our new little addition, T-rex, last week from Kammerflage Kreations. This is our first time owning a chameleon. We have a screen cage and all...
