That sounds a lot like what happened to my little guy except it was both of his eyes. The vet gave me some eye drops for him and it was been clearing up. Your best bet would be the vet.
I took him to the vet today and the vet said that his eyes are discharging a liquid that is keeping his eyes shut. He opened them with a q-tip and gave me some eyes drops to give to him. He said it should be cleared up in about a week. Anybody else ever had this problem?

I'm out of town currently, my mom said he opened his eyes and is more active since I got him outta his cage. I had him out this morning and he was just opening a little slit, they weren't completely closed.
This is my cage, his is the right side of the picture, my other cham is the left. He always hangs out in the bottom left of the picture. There are vines, and a locket shelf that the vine sits on that he crawls around on.
I only assume it's 24 hours, when the lights are on his eyes are closed. I poked his tail today and his eyes opened and he looked at me, then went back to his eyes closed. I worked all day today and my mom told me he moved around a lot but his eyes were always closed.
This is the only picture...
