I have a sweet 5 and a half year old panther that had become buddies with my veiled. Whenever seperated they sought each other out and when my veiled was diagnosed with renal failure my panther never left his side and when he passed my panther withdrew for a year until he found a new pal in...
Don't beat yourself up. It could have happened to anyone just one of those freak things. You are a wonderful chammy mom That is why we wanted you to have Dexter and we are so glad he has you. Let me know if I can send anything for his recovery. Give him a kiss from us
I wasn't prepared taking on jacksons either now I have 16 beautiful babies. If you save him I bet he will be like my Darwin from the looks of it and that is priceless
It did come out failry easy which was a relief. He thought he would have to make an incision in case it was too big to fit through the hole but 5 min and it was out
We get yearly exams with fecals done every 6 mos unless an issue arises then right off to the vet they go and initially when we first get them they go in for blood work, gram stain and fecal
I noticed my panther looked as if he had a lump under his eye and prior to this I had 2 chams with bacterial inf so I put everyone on a cycle of baytril anyways the vet flushed it out and it felt like dried candle wax but when he gram stained it said it was a bunch of old white blood cells that...
I just had something removed from my panther's eye. He had a lump and the vet flushed it out and put him on cipro drops. It was some mucous that hardened up. Pix below
This is one of the babies born here that we have decided to keep. His mama is a house guest that came pregnant and had her babies Sept. 24. I was lucky enough to catch all the babies as they came out
He was hatched here 1st out from our first clutch. He is shy and he does eat but the others range much bigger and our 2nd clutch they are almost at his weight but his behavior and everything else is fine. we have many so it's weird that he is a slow grower
I also have a slow grower. I have 4 from the same clutch that range from 9,11,32 and 46 grams. All have been tested for parasites ( we do it at home)
They all have unlimited food source but the little one doesn't eat a lot and they all go outside daily otherwise he seems fine at 5 mos old...bizarre
I have been fostering a pregnant jackson that recently birthed 16 beautiful babies on Sept 24th and have been hyper vigilant as I fear they might just die off but on a good note so far they are great and beautiful and plan on keeping them until they pass that drop dead point before selling thme
