Carol it is lake Michigan! It does get some very nice colors, it depends on the day and the weather conditions. During very windy days it's more gray due to the sand stirring up. Today it's nice and sunny with light clouds and some nice waves!
The pics look great although they are kind of "small" it wont let you click on them. Your little guy looks so happy in the sun! Awesome colors and a very handsome fella.
Here are a few pics of Kirby today....she's been looking out at the water all day so I decided to take her out of her cage for a closer look :D. She's a Jackson's Chameleon by the way.
It should be ok, most people keep babies together until they are a few months old. How old are the "babies" that you're talking about? People have different definitions for this term.
Congratulations on the hatchlings, that one looks super adorable already! Good luck with them. Do you have a setup ready for them and food? What will you be feeding them?? More pics???:D
I've been following your thread. Chris looks better....his setup looks like a bearded dragon setup though. You need to use the entire space of the cage....get an umbrella plant from home depot ($9.99 for a pretty good sized one). Wash it and re pot it in some organic soil....use that as the base...
I have my cage lined with paper towels. It helps to keep the cage look clean and it's easier to see if the "feces" that reach down there look ok. Just make sure that you change it frequently before it gets moldy. Your Chameleon shouldn't eat it, however, if you notice they are then remove it.
Thanks for the great information! The species I have though (Jackson's Chameleon) actually gives birth to live young :).....I just wanted to know if anyone with experience with this specific species knows signs of pregnancy. I don't know her history or age so I wanted to know peoples thoughts...
I know a guy named Randall and he actually kind of looks like a Chameleon! I've never watched the Film you're talking about, but it's weird that the Randall I know looks like a Chameleon :p
What was the temperature of the container when you opened it? Not sure how the weather is in Florida but here in the Midwest we've had 100+ degree temperatures for days....just a thought.
I would think that the baby crickets that you hatched should be safe to feed, especially since they were...
