I can absolutely agree with you on free-range, movement and BM's ;) I personally can't stand crickets but, at least Ive never had a problem with them nibbling on my cham! Im going to start leaving food though at the bottom cause that is a great idea, just to be on the safe side.
Btw Op, your cham is gorgeous!! Falys are my fave, even though we don't talk about that around here (wink, wink). As others have said and I agree he looks great and IMO there is no need to worry :)
So my big boy went to the vet today for the first time. He did GREAT!! He was very friendly to the vet and tech, except for when the scope was in his face. At that point he showed them his big smile :p He also gained a few grams since last week and is now at 92g! The vet said he looked great, so...
That seems a good weight. I have an almost 8 month Ambilobe male that is ~85g. He's been a bit cranky lately and their are whispers of a food strike, so I shall see tomorrow at the vet if he means business. I assume his demands will be for a new Arcadia light, pink wings, moths, and mantis. He...
Oh yeah thats gonna be great, around Halloween my mom brings about 20 pie pumpkins for me. My roaches will be living large :D And no, they won't be eating the pies, just the left over punkin bits, lol!
Just to clear my name here ;) In no way did I plan to use this many for my feeders or have it be the only thing. I actually use a HUGE variety since I share my food with them (Im a veggie/food hippie) so my question was just MAY they be added in some way? Just a few pieces of pulp, hate to waste...
I just wanted to chime in to ease your concerns. My 7 month old does this same nose blow when I first approach his cage if i take him by surprise. Other than that one snort, he realizes its me and time for food or outside time. So then he comes running for an arm to let him climb on. I really...
Agree, I used that bulb, 13w + 25w heat for my cham when he was little in a exoterra (pre big-boy cage). He grew up just fine :D I am however switching to arcadia 6% bulbs next month. Welcome to the forum!
The first time I saw this I was horrified too!! Its so gross. It was a hornworm "newbie" lesson Ill never forget (insert puky noise), or the smell. Ugh.
Absolutely Jannb! I was going to suggest the same, the only thing Id suggest different is use a store bought (brown bottle) this is 6% which is needed for cell wall destruction. If you go with hair stuff, the kind at Sally's, use 20 volume clear and don't dilute. The 20 volume is 6% hydrogen...
Thats what I use for my w/D3 and multivit. Just make sure the expiration date hasn't lapsed. Another great brand is Miner-all. I use Miner-all outdoor (w/o D3) for daily cal dusting.
Ive never heard they can't  Hmmmm, now I want to look into that myth. I know they aren't good climbers but…they do have wings so I figure they'd use them for something :D My colony have been perfect angels, no escapees here…or so I think. Great ones going to take me by surprise and Im...
I would suggest starting a new thread in the health section and fill out the "ask for help". That way we will see your husbandry and make suggestions. Hope this helps :)
