Thank you for your reply. My Meru was wild caught and I guessed he was young but its obviously hard to tell with wild caught. I hope yours continue to do well for you X
I used to own a male Meru called Michael. He lived 4 years which I understand is good for the dwarf Jacksons.
Can anyone compare the lifespan on these, I'd be interested to know.
Fischers are without doubt my favourite of all the chameleon species. My first ever chameleon was a Fischer and I named him George. He had the best personality of any chameleon.
Thank you for sharing these photos Karen, I don't see enough of these. BTW I think your Wilf is stunning, what a...
I'd like a red foot tortoise. I saw loads on holiday in Barbados, one of the more friendly tortoises.
I live in Essex and own a pink panther (Ankaramy) called Oliver :)
This happens to me. I keep my crickets in large plastic tanks with lids but they still get out. Good escape artists. The worst thing was when I found a mealworm in my bed, thank god that has only happened the once. A cricket in my trainers, that has happened a few times! Argh!
I think this topic is very enlightening. I am shocked at some of the attitudes on here. I can honestly say I wouldn't sell a chameleon to 70% of those that have given their input. I have been keeping chameleons now for 9 years and threads like this make me wonder why I am in the hobby. At least...
I haven't read every post on this thread yet but I wanted to say what I thought. I would never leave my chameleon unattended even for one night. If I couldn't find anyone to look after him then fine I just wouldn't go away. Anything could happen in 6 days. There could be a power cut, his heat...
It sounds a bit of a dangerous rough area where you live. At least no animals have been harmed, that is all I can say really. Sorry this happened to you:(
Camille is one of the most beautiful Veiled chameleons ever I think! She is stunning! BTW I like your pink bedroom! Is that a swimming pool I see in the background? Oh how the other half live! lol
