#3 out of 3 hatched and it has an egg sack stuck to it still. I'm wondering if I should leave him in his hatch spot or keep him in the nursery I have set up. Seems healthy and well with the exception of the sack hanging. It's large enough to the point that it is messing with him in regard to...
Yes a closet with a 250 watt heat lamp at the bottom 26 watt 5.0 uvb direct. I have been keeping it in range temp wise and temporarily keeping him in a large pet food container with the lid cut out replaced with screen
The other two eggs are just eggs as of now. The one hatching gave me hope since it wasn't the one I thought I was going to pop first. Now I'm thinking worst case I'm going to get 2/3. One egg looks dirty compared to the one that hatched and the other that's still going.
I got a basic CFL...
So aside from starting a new job, Covid 19, and three eggs I was about to give up on....i was blessed with a baby on the April fools day. It's name is April Fool's don't care about the sex at this point ?. I'm at this point kicking myself for multiple reasons....first being not saving tabs on...
Yeah I bought 3 eggs all different hatch dates. 1 was due around two weeks ago super clean and wire looking. Another due 3-1 is In the same state. The egg posted above was also 3-1 but as mentioned hasn't done alot since initial sweat.
I'm really curious though if anyone has had a sporadic hatching time with panthers? At the same time has anyone had a premature sweat to put it. It's crazy to see how much the egg grew pre-sweat and how much it shrunk after missing peace is little dude pipping and crawling out.
In regard to...
Have been at 73° steady since my last post and nothing thus far. I know there's a whole candeling debate and I'm not trying to blind these little guys by any means nor find myself in the midst of that debate. Just enough time to get a picture to post on here. I'm just letting it ride at this...
5 days later and it's still kind of just chilling out. Not sweating heavily anymore and egg appears to be slightly shriveling up. Wondering if it went south :(
Have an egg that is starting to sweat hard enough that it has a small puddle equivalent to 4 or 5 drops of water? When it comes to Panthers what kind of times do you get after the sweat in regards to piping?
The candling is a week ago, other pic is today.
Yeah the only thing that was moved from one to another with out being sterilized was the eggs. So I'm fingers crossed I don't have to deal with this again on these eggs. A
Just checked on some eggs that have looked healthy since the day I got them. Hatch dates are coming up 2-15 for 1 and 3-1 for the other two. After weighing and rehydrating sponges a couple of days ago I checked up this morning and noticed small specks of white mold appearing on the substrate...
I know absolutely nothing about bedding substrate this is what came with my eggs. Not oppose to switching it up but I figure the breeder picked what works for me. It doesn't look collapsible by any means essentially....best compared to lava rocks in my opinion. This whole stretch is foreign...
