Your guy sounds like my male, in the sense that he will sleep through anything! I had to move my males cage one night and i thought for sure he would wake up, Nope! slept right through it.
The female should be fed as much as she will eat, and to avoid over feeding what you are feeding the male (12 crickts everyother day) is good.
My female, when she was little, would eat 20 crickets a day somtimes. IN 2 or three months cut back on the females feeding to half a dozen crickets...

I havent seen my guys eat any leaves, BUT philodendrons are pretty toxic. Buy a pathos, give it a month and that thing will take over your cage. Then when you trim it, root the clippings and grow more plants!
