    Bad update on googles

Not too familiar with dealing with a chameleon that has a high protozoan count but i do know that increased temps help the immune system.

Meal worms are not the most nutritious. You can feed them off but next time try super worms (Zophobas morio)

    Cage changes while carrying eggs?

Well this weekend i was planning on moving my female veiled into a larger cage, buttttt she decided to start scratching around in her laying bin. I was thinking would it be best to leave her in the smaller cage untill she lays? I am sure that moving her into a new cage will stress her out and i...

    chameleon refusing to eat

For an adult male that would still be on the warm side. Females generally require a lower basking temp. If they do receive the higher temps they will produce more eggs more often and there is a good chance it will shorten their life. Also it is important to regulate their food intake when they...

    chameleon refusing to eat

This is just my opinion a 100w sun glo is producing temps hotter than mid 80's also how far away is the bulb from the chameleon? The sun glo provides both heat and Uv lighting, but it needs to be at least a foot away from the chameleon. The amount of UV that the bulb is putting out could be too...

    chameleon refusing to eat

She is trying to lay eggs, make a laying bin (something as long, if not longer, than her body and at least a foot deep) fill it with play sand that is damp enough to make a tunnel in it. This is something that should be done tonight, if she does not get an appropriate place to pay eggs in...

    How Many Pigmys?

Pinhead crickets are too small. I feed my guys 1/4" crickets. I havent tried any variety, i should tho, I have some silk eggs and i may try feeding off some of the little ones. Humidity i aim to keep mine at about 70% and temps in the low to mid 70's day time with a 10* drop at night. so no...

Possible MBD? (quite a few pics)

That one pic did look like MBD but it could have just been the angle. Feed her as much as she will eat with properly dusted/supplemented insects and everything should be good. I know this was said before, but natural sunlight works wonders on these guys.

Newb thinking about making a pet shop rescue

This is just my opinion on the whole "chameleons take up sooo much time" Yes chameleons are hard to care for, BUT once you get it down it isnt so bad. Maybe its just because i enjoy doing doing it... On average i can say i spend no more than 2 hours total time caring for my 2 Veileds and 3...

    2 questions.

As far as the UV throw them outside for a few hours each day untill your fixture comes in the mail. Its been nice out. And IMO i would not feed love bugs to my chameleons because love bug juice will eat the paint off of your car if you leave them on there for a while...that cant be good for...

Stress coming from Noise and Vibrations

I would leave him and vacuum real fast and get it over with. Or Vacuum at night, if your guy is a heavy sleeper. my guys can sleep through anything, i moved their cages once and they did not wake up.

Stress coming from Noise and Vibrations

IMO short term vibrations will cause stress but nothing too bad. The only time i would worrie about would be a constant vibrations.
