I am not sure if there is hope for my Veiled. I have a panther thatseems more inclined to be handled and I am taking it very slow and following the advice about getting tehm used to your hand first. I really want to get them outside or at least transfer them onto a free range but it is a long...
I tried to pick up my veiled today and he turned white as a ghost with pale yellow and greeens. Is this a typical stress reaction?? I have only handled three times in as many months.
He is generally very fearful of me but will accept a couple of superworms from the tongs before scrambling...
It was the best of times it was the worst of times
But we went outside anyways. He turned every color he has and I am not sure if he was excited or stressed but I thought some sun would be good. He turned super black at one point and had reddish brown stripes, didnt get a pic of that
I have a 5 Month old Panther. So far he is doing well health and behavior. I have not handled him since the first day I got him and that was just to put him into the enclosure. Now I would like to take him outside for some sun but dont want to terrorize him by handling him. He accepts food from...
I want to take mine outside too!
But dont know how to get him out of the cage since I dont handle him? Any ideas? Does anyone take the entire enclosure outside

He is approximately 8 months i am guessing I have had him since the beginning of April and I purchased him as a jeuvenile, Although by his size he was probably 3 to 4 months when I got him (that is how I came up with 8 months).
I am afraid I might have insisted too much in the hand feeding...
I know the normal practice of handfeeding and such to try to get a cham used to people but my veiled is quite wild and hides every time anyone enters the room where he is kept.
Any thoughts on how to get him to chillax?
He is healthy and growing great on the plus side.
If i can't hold my Cham how do I get him in and out of a free range? I have a veiled that will hid every time he sees me. He will eat one superworm if I stick it to the screen but then he turns tail and makes for cover. I would love to free range but if I take him out on a branch how will I get...
