I think if instead of making him mad take him out to be free range on a tree and leave him a lone for a bit you'd see a better range of colors. Today was the first time I saw the blue on my panther because he was out and about loving being 6ft up!
If it isn't possible for you to keep the room 60F with a heater you can buy ceramic bulbs that don't admit light but will keep her nice and warm! They are a little spendy but they last for a few years. You can find them on Amazon :)...
Kuzco is getting so big! I've had him for almost a month and his cage was in sore need of a cleaning. It was a bit of adventure getting him out to be on a money tree but it was worth it to see his greens and blues once he was at the top of it. Now it will be another adventure trying to get him...
When you go to the show make sure that they are healthy! I was super excited when I went to a show to pick up my panther thinking there was going to be a lot of options but there was only a few chameleons! I almost went home with a jackson because there was nothing else and he was pretty...
It really is going to depend on the water in your area. The chlorine in the misted water usually has dissipated in the tiny dropplets by the time it has reached the chameleon. I use distilled water since I have an automatic mist system and want to keep the machine in better shape. Otherwise I'd...
I've had Kuzco for a little over a week and he is doing well! :D I've started offering him superworms by hand but he'll only eat one. Then it's like he realizes that I was holding it and doesn't want anymore until I put it on the screen. Just curious if this normal? It's funny because he doesn't...
I've been covering mine because of the same reason. Kuzco is in the living room and we use it quite late. I use a fitted bed sheet folded in half kind of stretch it around 3 sides leaving the back which is a few inches away from the wall and the top open. I figure he is going to get some air...
I've been feeding my 5 month old panther superworms! Its one of the only things he'll eat out of my hands. It's the mealworms that isn't good for chameleons. Harder for them to digest.
