Thanks, was sold him as a male from a breeder n have looked in books, and at a female in a shop. Just wanted to make sure, sometimes he turns quite dark, wanted to play it safe, n make sure i didnt have a gravid female! i guess just when hes hot? coz he hasnt tried hissing at me yet n i've had...
This is my "currently nameless" ambilobe panther chameleon, he is nearly 4 months old now.
Wondering if you guys/girls could tell me how much he should weigh?, and also wanted to make sure that he is definately male? lol, tried taking a pic underneath but didnt come out very well.
Also is it possible to buy house flies pupae in the uk, rather than the fruitflies pupae, and do i have to search by a more scientific term?
My cham just ate a butterfly, is it ok for him to eat these? (just a small garden variety butterfly).
hi, i live in the UK, and the only supplier of phoenix worms i can find is a company called pollywog livefoods. http://livefoods.pollywog.co.uk/index.php,
I'm not sure what size of the phoenix worms i should buy, my cham is about 3 and a half months old roughly.
My cham ate a few wax worms the other day, n now he's "put off?" crickets and locusts, i tried putting some in his viv and he ignores them, so i offered him a wax worm and he ate that, but i know i shouldnt feed them to him all the time coz they are very fatty etc. he also ate one of the moths...
Kept dripping the water droplets off the syringe in front of his nose and mouth, and he got the hang of that. The bottle drips water by itself, it gathers in the end, and cham is drawn to it coz of the reflective silver ball in the end, it is exactly the kind used by rabbits n small mammals.
My cham is 3 months old, i've had him for about 2 weeks now, brought from a breeder.
Had a waterbowl in my chams tank but he never drinks from it - coz its still water.
Then i changed to a waterfall he drank from it, but i didnt think it was very clean and it flooded the bottom of my viv - so...
Aww, your chams are gorgeous, hope mine turns out as nicely as yours!

and ... oh, do i look like a branch, lol
I just got my cham to eat some waxworms, and he loved them!
Quick question, wondering what i should gut load them on? if i need to?
And is ok to feed my crickets and locusts - banana and lettuce, as well as normal calcium plus cricket food pellets?
I wana get him some silkworms, but its...
Hmmm, thanx for the advice. I was using the substrate to keep the hummidity up, and also to stop my cham from looking at his reflection in the glass floor.
Can't keep my cham outside at the moment especially with the downpours and flooding we keep getting at the moment, although im hoping to...
