hornworms grow like monsters though, wont be long before they are to big to feed off.
Though again the color seems to make them ... enticing i guess .. gross to me lol, fat fleshy beasts  good for hydration.
i think the two healthiest worms would prob be butterworms or silkworms
since mine isnt to thrilled with worms either i have some butters because you can just stick um in the fridge .. makes them convenient to take one or two out and try.
and they brighter color, might entice him ...

my veiled bites the sh*t outa me every time i take him outside or something .. some are just vicious. Good thing im thick skinned lol i just let him have at it, they are usually less bitey after you get them out of there "territory"
mine seems to love crickets and dubia above all else to...
Some people only understand $, sadly it may take them killing them and losing some before they get the hint.
When i bought my cham from a pet store i had to work hard to convince them to let me buy it lol but it made me feel good that they care for the animal enough to do that.
i can see...
some chams wont eat fruits and vegetables at all. Mine wont. either way you cant feed them primarily fruit/veg ..

60 watt may be fine .. if you can get the right temp at the basking spot.
its true those compact florescents don't produce much if any heat.

stick insects (phasmids) i have wanted to try them for a while but they illegal to cause they just like poop out eggs once they mature. Dont need to breed ... i have read that they are very well liked.
i made my own rain system, works great! i dont have the $ for a mister right now. But when i was looking i was going to go with the monsoon, and your right it was pure aesthetic appeal lol. It just seemd more ... convenient and it looked cool lol.

You will need a cage bigger than that 28" x 16.5" x 30" eventually anyway, better to just start off with it and not have to buy another later.
Looks like a cheap stick on thermometer, you prob want a digital one with a sensor you can put at the basking spot.
that cage is 65$ on there...
