Is there any foods besides crickets and mealworms that can give your cham nutrition? she likes to eat lettuce but i know thats very low nutritional value, but its one of the only ways she will drink water. so r there any other fruits or vegetables that a veiled might like?
i think its because some of them are dead when i get them. there will b one or two dead ones when i get them. the ones that are alive stay alive until my cham eats them. i would start my own colony thing but i dont have the time or space or money. :(
yeah i looked at sandras and its really good and helpful. thanks guys!:) yeah i have to go to the store like twice a week for crickets. she gets 5 or 6 a day and i get like 48 a week cuz so many of them die
thanks
thanks :) one last question, if u feed the crickets vegetables or the dry mix stuff, do u still have to supply them with water so they dont die?
I was wondering the types of food used to gutload the crickets u guys use? wet or dry. i use fluckers cricket food, that orange gel like stuff. but i was told that that wasnt enough. the crickets seem to really like grapes but thats about all they get to eat from me...
thanks
thanks guys :) yeah she absolutely loves it. its the only time she will ever let me near her without totally freaking out lol. any other suggestions on food that will help giver the nutrients she needs besides crickets and meal worms?
Is it safe to feed your chameleon lettuce? i fed her a piece of lettuce one day because i saw that she was trying to eat the fake plants in her cage. she ate the whole piece within minutes. Now she loves it! whenever she sees i have lettuce she will climb to the front of the cage and eat it out...
I have a 6-7 month old female veiled chameleon. i was wondering what to do when she is about to lay eggs. i know u r supposed to put sand in their cage for them to dig in, but how much sand? and how do i know when she is ready to lay eggs? and what do i put her in once she is ready to lay??
based on the pictures, do you think that this is the right size cage for her size of chameleon? she is still growing and im planning on getting a bigger cage, just not right now.
sorry about the pics... i didnt know how to rotate them... :\
1. i feed the crickets grapes too. what vegetables will they eat?
2. i feed her ( it is a her) calcium dusted crickets everyday. will too much d3 hurt them?
3. about the shower thing, is tap water ok for them to drink? when i mist her, i use filtered water.
4. i am going to get a new cage...
