Do they actually scratch or bite if they don't like it? I got my first chameleon Friday. I haven't attempted to pick him up yet because he definitely seems skittish if I get too close.
Could you guys give me a rough idea of what would probably be a good two week supply of food for a 7 month old Ambilobe Panther? I realize it depends on how much he eats but I would just like a rough idea. I'll be getting my first chameleon the 20th of this month and want to have a two weeks...
Do you mind me asking how long you have had yours and did you have to put it on a separate timer? I was reading reviews on those and apparently the first models had issues?
Thanks.
I went ahead and purchased the Zoo Med Reptisun T5 HO 24 Inch Hood.
It comes with the bulb and had free shipping.
This should be fine right, not overkill?

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the help since this will be my first chameleon.
Does anyone else have an opinion on this? Should I go with a 20 or 24 inch florescent hood?
Thanks, I'll do the 8 /12 instead of the 5 1/2.
Ordering this today. I have a DIYCages 24x24x48 on the way. This will eventually be for a Ambilobe Panther after I get everything set up. Just want to make sure this is correct. The 18 inch bulb does go in the 20 inch hood doesn't it?
Wow thanks to all three of you. Cheaper than anyone else and free shipping and no tax.
I'm not certain. I'm getting everything set up first then when I see the one I want I'll get it. That may be a juvenile or an adult. Not sure.
Need a recommendation on an enclosure…
Looking to purchase a 24x24x48 GREY aluminum enclosure within the next couple of days for my up and coming Ambilobe.
The only place that I can seem to find grey is at LLLReptile and FL Chams. There is about a $30 price difference between the two...
