Is there a possibility of her laying in multiple holes? Last night i came home from work and i took a peek while she was asleep and she had a really deep tunnel and this morning when i woke up i peeked from behind the enclosure where she can't see me and the hole was filled and it looked like...
What if she makes multiple holes?is that a possibility and also how will i know she is egg bound? I mean is there some symptoms if so i would like to know so i can get ahold of a good vet before hand.
Right now she dug a tunnel and left it alone now she is pacing back and forth up and down and returning to the dig site only to peek in and walk away again. I hope she doesn't become egg bound i mean she doesn't really look big but all the same i would not want to lose her over something as easy...
I was also wondering what are the indicators that my cham is done laying eggs? Is the hole covered, does my female stop pacing the enclosure what happens?
Awesome thanks for the advice it really means alot coming from you. I see you are really successful with your chams and i aspire to be as good in my husbandry as you:)
I just built my own cage and i used an old entertainment center. I just cut out the holes on the sides and screened it all and viola instant awesome cage:D
Do i just give her crickets or can i mix up some superworms and dubias?(gutloaded of course)and if they are gutloaded what would be the best veggie to gutload them with)
Yeah im sure they are infertile(she has yet to be introduced to a male) Where can i get some liquid calcium? How many crickets well dusted should i give her in the next couple of days?
Thats what i have heard...its like this big event. I hope she gets rid of all of the eggs cause i don't want her to have to get surgery, i have heard the horror stories with that. Thanks for the encouragement:D
My female veiled is digging finally. I knew she was going to lay eggs but i didn't know when. It's weird cause she doesn't look like she has eggs inside her. Any help on the situation would be nice.
Thanks all for your help. she seems to be fine while being held in and out of the cage. it helps cause she also has food out on the branches of her free range area in a cup.
I started to free range my female veiled on a daily basis and i was wondering if that causes her stress going from the cage to free range daily? She seems to be fine with it but maybe i may be stressing her out and i don't know it.
