Thank you.
Literally the minute we got home from the vet for a routine check up, he got stuck between two branches in his out side cage and got cut....
The black spots on his back are the original infection. The spots around his legs are where I'm concerned the most for fungal.
I just called the office and they said they'd call in the next hour or two. If it is fungal, what med would usually be prescribed...I just want to start researching...
I will call the vet as soon as I am back home. She did say that the injection sites would turn black but I never expected the spots on his legs to get that gross.
The stuff around his mouth is just dried food if anyone was looking at that. :)
What do you think about the extra calcium...
After a small dose of pedialyte at about 8am, I took him out side to enjoy the rain. It was hot, humid and rainy so it was perfect for Oliver to be out in. The sun has just started to come out and warm everything up so he is basking in that. He is drinking more and more today willingly than he...
Hello everyone,
I took Oliver to the vet on July 10th, to get a nasty scratch looked at.
This was july 10 https://imageshack.com/i/ide5HKA4j
The vet prescribed .03 injectable Ceftaz (antibiotic) for 3 weeks.
During that time Oliver would not eat and hadn't been prior to the vet visit, so I had...
She is familiar with reptiles and a little with chameleons. Is there a way I can talk to that vet? I know mine might be getting in contact with the vets down at A&M but I don't think my parents would drive to houston
Thank you :(
I just called the vet and left a message about stopping the injections, so I should hear back pretty soon.
I need him to get better, I don't want to lose him
Not great. I had to leave to house sit for a friend so I had fed him a lot of liquified food on friday and this morning he was really bad. My mom said he was pale white and hanging up side down, so she rushed him to the vet. I met them there and he finally pooped and started to throw up. The vet...
Update:
3rd time at the vet and we are continuing injections for another week or so.
He is shedding on both sides which is good, it it just taking a very long time.
He has also developed what I believe is conjunctivitis in one eye, which the vet prescribed drops for. She didn't take a...
I've already given him a little bit of the chicken baby food but I want to try the repta boost. Is it this? http://m.petco.com/product/117291/Flukers-ReptaBoost-Insectavore-And-Carnivore-High-Amp-Boost.aspx
Do you think it would better to switch off days from normal big juice to days with the...
Okay so I just got off the phone with her and she is recommending chicken baby food for protein and calorie intake. Should I still be concerned about his kidneys?
If it is just to make it chunky-er, I just won't blend the bugs up as much, right?
Im going to call her tomorrow and see, but I figured I would throw it up here too.
Oliver is slowing recovering from a skin infection, that is almost completely healed up. (https://www.chameleonforums.com/day-8-a-132035/)
However he is still on baytril and his appetite is basically nothing. He has had normal poop up until yesterday at the vet, he had almost explosive runny...
