Lol I don't see how he can not get one now. Thanks so much. He's getting supplies from lowes today to build the enclosure, what dimensions (in feet preferably) would you suggest? And screen or glass?
Hey guys. My friend is tryna get a new friend and we've been lookin over our options and we've come to a decision of either a Chinese water dragon or a rhino iguana. It's easy to find care sheets on the dragon but difficult for the rhino because theyre endangered and pretty hard to come by. Does...
Temperature:
60-78F (15-25C) degrees. Temperatures over 80F (26C) are lethal to pygmy chameleons.
Taken directly from care sheet on this site. I would just drop down to 60w.
Can't say I disagree, but I am one of those lazy people who prefer artificial plants to minimize enclosure maintenance. However, after reading this thread, I might consider adding some in. Please tell me, what extra work, if any, is involved in maintaining live plants? With proper care, how long...
Yeah ive heard nothing but good things about them so i figured id go all out on my first purchase. And the shipping and taxes only added like $5. Idk how that happend but I ain't mad at it. :p
That seems like an awesome money saving idea! I have some of those trees in my neighborhood, I should try it out. Only problems with it I could see is possible toxicity and the vine just dying quickly. Idk if weeping willow is toxic to chams, just something to be cautious about.
If I'm gone for less than a week, I drop like 20 crix in the cage and put about 15 super worms in a feeder cup and let the mister and timers handle the rest. If a week or more, my friend takes care of things. He's got reptiles too so we just do it free of charge back and forth. ;P
That moment when you check your list of everything you need and hover over the purchase button for 10 mins, wondering if its all gonna be worth it and if you can even afford it and then remembering that this doesn't even include the price of the inhabitants. I finally just told myself, 'screw...
Yeah, it really is quite interested. It makes you wonder how they keep track of ages in the star wars universe, considering how the length of a year varies depending on the planet.
Edit: Nvm, just looked it up, apparently the entire galaxy uses what is called the 'Galactic Standard Calender'...
Woah! is that Naboo from 365 days of Naboo?! I haven't checked that thread in months! HE'S BEAUTIFUL! Fun fact I learned a little while back, there are 312 days in a year on Naboo
I'm considering getting a few brevs and I've done my research, but I still have a few questions. From reading some threads and doing some other research I've gathered that: ABG substrate mix combined with some leaf litter is a sufficient substrate. Is this statement correct? Cuz it seems like...
This is the most meaningful post, IMO. It should hopefully help ease your pain a lot more. Yes you lost your cham and it could have been prevented, but many of us (including myself) would have never thought about this and could have just as easily made the same mistake. By sharing this...
