My new little guy Jack caused some confusion on the forum as well. I'm still leaning towards male on Jack as well, but time will tell. :)

I talk to my chameleons, even though they can't hear me

Yeah, I do, and I doubt I'm the only one. Don't plan on stopping either. :D Caught myself doing it today during feeding time, and thought I would share, and see who else does too. :)

    Female panther constantly hiding

Oh man, I hope so. She has me so nervous... I swear, they keep me on my toes LOL. She does look really healthy....I suppose more than anything I was concerned about not seeing her drink for a couple days. She doesn't look dehydrated by any means, but I think a shower will be in order tomorrow...

    Female panther constantly hiding

Hey everyone, a small issue with Skittles. The past few days she doesn't seem to want to come out of her plant. She doesn't look stressed, but seems to want to hide a lot. Her temp at the hottest point in her cage sits right around 80 degrees. I have also noticed she doesn't want to touch her...

    Jackson's chameleon suddenly died

Honestly, I can't tell you what happened with him, but I am very sorry for your loss. The only thing I see wrong in your husbandry ( I am not as familiar with Jacksonii) is the use of a 10.0 repti-glo (I would have went with the 5.0). I am not as familiar with supplementing needs for a Jacksons...

new here, with some concerns with my panthers

Hi there, I hope I can help a little. First off let me say, if it were me, I would remove one female, and house them separately. Also, as far as supplements go, your feeders need to be dusted with Calcium W/O D3 at every feeding, Calcium W/D3 twice a month, and you also need to use a...

First Shed and a funny story

First off, the story was hilarious. I was laughing my *** off, but then I scrolled down, only to find the word "herpy". Now... while I know you are referring to "Herps" and I know it is not spelled correctly, it seriously made me laugh so hard I couldn't breath. Thank you both for almost killing...

    Chameleons of Madagascar DVD

I got it a couple weeks back, and I LOVE IT. Very informative, and some of the animals on there are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Most definitely worth the money.

    complete set up?

I will agree there. They have complete cage packages for chameleons as well, if you don't mind reptariums. I happen to like em, so might too. Also, be advised that this "complete" package does NOT have everything you need. Throw away the analog thermometer and humidity gauge, they are junk... we...
