I am buying a T5 Reptisun and Reptiglow CFL to replace my current ones on Tango's setup. The CFL is at the end of its life (and a reptisun) and the tube I have is an old Reptiglow (which from my readings would probably do better as a reptisun), so hopefully new bulbs will make her feel a bit...
She took two crickets when I got home. Wont eat any more than that. Drip and a feeding cup offered in front of her although she isn't drinking quite yet. I decided to attempt baby steps. This time was to accept food, next will be medicated dust. She had a healthy BM. Nothing overly large and...
Unless its her hitting maturity and a reaction from that, (could this be a possibility? Not sure if they exhibit similar behavior at maturity) I would say not. We raised her from what we were told as 3 months old. We have have had her for 6 months since then.
Checked on Tango and she is on the move. Practically jet black though and quite a bit cold from moving away from the lamp. I took her out of the aquarium and placed her back into her normal enclosure with all the humidity running. Shes not in an ideal spot, but close to her basking point...
I gave her some resting time in the aquarium 70-75 F and 63 - 80% humidity. I placed her basking lamp about 4" over her with a timer to kick the heat on and off every 30 minutes. She seems to be getting a bit more strength. Shes looking around and is not quite as slouchey. She will not eat or...
I was pretty certain I wasn't going to find any BM since I cleaned the cage the day before, but I lucked out. Looks like it could be some sort of digestive issue? I'm assuming she hasn't been drinking well in the days prior as the urea is starting to yellow a bit. The one that concerns me is the...
Bad News; I checked on her today and she is exhibiting the same colors, very lethargic, barely opening eyes.
I showered her for about 10 minutes, she wouldn't drink.
I have her in an aquarium right now. Misted down, ultrasonic running, some roaches and a heat source opposite of the vine she is...
I did just peek in on her sleeping and she appears to have dropped the dark colors completely. She's back to her normal sleeping colors, although still fairly slouchy. I'm guessing shes just trying to find a new sleeping roost. Thanks for the insight. I'll keep you all posted in the days to come.
The more I observed the more I think I may have just caught her being cranky headed up to bed time. Good to know this behavior is similar to what you have seen as normal.
I was wondering that as well, yet she is still a bit small. I imagine they still get a bit bigger after maturity?
The more I look at it, the more I wonder if she found a lower basking point. I clipped a bit of the schefflera yesterday, which would allow the light to shine further down. The heat at the normal basking spot is at 81 so she might be looking for something a bit cooler for later in the day? She...

Bad news today... At around 10:30 Peppers passed on. I tried to bring him back up to health, but with the fall yesterday and how fast the progression of his condition was occurring, I figured he was not going to come through.
In the end I hope I made him comfortable on the last day. He sat...
Bug juice would be a good option. Consider taking some of his food, grinding it up in a food processor or mortar and add some electrolyte / vitamin based drink (I was recommended pedialyte).
Strain it and try to give him some with your finger or through a pipette.
Good luck :)
EDIT: Also try...
Yes I have tried to follow what has been offered to me. I think the move to the aquarium will help out as well. I just want to avoid RI by keeping him in there for too long. The lid is mesh, but the humidity still stays very high, and I'm afraid keeping the lights on all the time might be too...
A quick update. A few thing I forgot and some better news.
Pepper's eyes have been shut a lot recently. He seems to spend more time with them closed than open, but that comes with the weakness.
Peppers pooped yesterday, which is good so I know it isn't blockage, but i was unable to take...
Sorry my last update wasnt supposed to sound too optimistic. I figure it will be a bumpy road getting peppers back up to health.
This update is much less positive thn the last. I checked out Peppers earlier today, and he was low in the cage. I gave him a bath and gave him some bug juice...
Just a quick update: already this morning Pepper's grip seems to be stronger than it was yesterday by a pretty surprising ammount! Thanks for the tips . He had a little juice for breakfast and I'll be giving him some more around 6. I know if you haven't eaten in a while it is unhealthy to eat a...
Thanks for the advice. I was trying to keep from giving him too much at once, but I will make sure of it from now on. I did realize I was making one small mistake which I feel isn't something that is going to cause him to be weak, but may help with him feeling more comfortable. This is that my...
Thanks for the advice, I am almost certain that water has a big part in the situation. His urea is pale yellow though so he isn't showing heavy signs of dehydration. I will try to get some photos in tomorrow. I mist at least twice a day for at least five minuets and peppers is usually found...
