Male Veiled not eating/drinking/doesn't look okay

I hope he starts eating and drinking for you soon. Maybe it might be worth upping the misting to see if he will drink. Sorry I can't help more as I am new to chameleon keeping but fingers crossed someone with more experience can help you. If you are worried it might be worth seeing a vet.

    Mated veileds

Why would you want to do potential damage to your animal? I would find a vet to look at him.

    Just checking

It is a standard tube bulb. I forgot to say that there was also a basking spot bulb. The canopy goes across the right hand side so the left is slightly darker. I know that too much light can be bad for their eyes.

Zelda is ALMOST Back to Herself :-)

I am so glad she is feeling better. I have been keeping an eye on her progress. I hope she starts eating for herself in a few days. At least she is letting you feed her 1 or 2 crickets.

the type of person I fear as a owner

I am in total agreement with the start of this post. You do not get an animal until you have researched everything about it. How to look after it and how much things like food and vets bills cost. It doesn't matter how much the animal cost in the 1st place it is your pet and you should care for...

    Veiled struggling to poop

I wouldn't use Nutrobal at every feed as it contains D3 you will need to get some plain calcium I am not sure if this helping to cause the problem (but probably not as you have been using it for a while). As for the not pooping issue I am unable to help. I hope you get him sorted. It is horrible...

    Terrified of my Chams food

Worms freak me out too. I am now able to just about deal with a meal worm (not for my chameleon but my leopard gecko) and I am slowly getting there with crickets. Locusts I really don't like but tweezers are the best thing ever. :) You are not alone in your dislike of bugs. I have just got some...

Zelda Is Still Hanging In There...

There is a definite difference. Well done on bringing her back to health. You have done a brilliant job and so has Zelda. I hope she continues to improve but she is going in the right direction :)

Zelda Is Still Hanging In There...

I am glad she is improving slowly. I have been waiting for an update after the other day when you thought she was dying. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she continues to improve and you can get some food and water into her. Good luck.

Jackson's Chameleon inactive bottom of cage, pale in color

I am so sorry you lost your little guy. I know how it feels we lost our 1st one a couple of weeks ago and it hurts like hell. I am currently without a chameleon but I am still looking through this forum and learning a lot. I am hoping to get another one in a few weeks. Fingers crossed you can...

Its more sad because she looked like she was getting better but they can go downhill so suddenly. Enjoy your 2 new babies. I am glad you have found new chameleons to love and look after. You...

Hello I have what may be a stupid question. Unfortunately my little boy passed away last week. He had been poorly and the vet and I tried all I could to make him well again but no luck. I am now looking into getting another male veiled chameleon and I was wondering what age can they be sold...

Have you seen this http://screameleons.com/how-to-handle-your-chameleon-properly/ It also shows an unhappy chameleon. Not sure if it will help you. I understand where you are coming from with regards to stress though.

Area By Area (& country) Vet list

I live in the UK and unfortunately I have had to find a vet to look at my chameleon. I can highly recommend Hampton Veterinary Centre in Peterborough. They do not specialise in chameleons but they were very knowledgeable. http://www.hamptonvets.co.uk/home.html
