i know this kind of thing is all over the forums, but pedro has never done it before, he was climbing up his vines and stopped to investigate a waxworm i was offering him. just as i saw the tip of his tongue unfurling.. i dropped the damn thing. but pedro was having none of it, he raced down his...
i personally wouldnt be worried, the casque looks fine, although, in the second pc, am i the only one that sees a few lumpy areas at the end of his snout? these ive not really seen, and unless its a funny angle on the pic or something, id consider getting them looked at in more detail.
yeah you can usually tell gender. look at the back of the hind legs. if you see a small fleshy lump in the middle of each foot, its a male and thus the easiest to care for. if there nothing there at all, its a female, and you;ll need to know all about egg-laying bins and whatnot then. a little...
hi there. glad your thinking about joining this wonderful pastime, but i just want to offer a word of warning. try to buy EVERYTHING for your cham BEFORE you buy the animal. this means that you wont need to dash out in an emergency if he needs something and you forgot to buy it at the time. i...
hi, and thanks for dropping by, i guess i shoud have clarified a little in the beginning of my thread, the reason he's not in a screen enclosure is because its cold here, and i also have NO CENTRAL HEATING. the average temp in my house is like 18C, i was told veileds like to have it around 40...
yay! please do.. i cant believe how exciting it is to watch them pop right in front of you! i have a horrible feeling that im going to get addicted to this -_-
nope.. no central heating, we only have heating on the bottom floor, i live in an old fishermans cottage that was revonvated and extended, they just never bothered putting more radiators in. and also, a URI? you sure? even though ive already said he's not showing ANY other sypmtoms whatsoever...
hmm. im a little concerned about something, and wanted to get some advice. over the last 2 days ive noticed pedro coughing/sneezing a few times, eyes are clear, no nasal discharge, and no wheezing while breathing, just a little twitch accompanied by a puff of air. ive only actually SEEN him do...
cant say ive ever really had any problems with my veiled, i just went through what i thought was a natural process, he free ranges crickets, and has wax worms for a treat. when feeding wax worms, i held one between my forefinger and thumb, let it wiggle, then put it on a branch about 10 inches...
ok. i KNOW im not seeing things now. he is definatley starting to colour up.. its so exciting! its honestly making me really happy just to see his adult colours come through. looks like he'll be a pretty boy too. i took another pic, which is a lil blurry as i had to take it one handed (macro...
Colours?
hey all. been away a while, but ive been noticing something over the last few days, and was wondering if anyone else can see it, or if im just getting "chameleon vision" ;)
im SURE i can see some colour developing on Pedro, he has a green stripe on his casque that hasnt been there...
although i really dont have much experience, id second that. i think its pretty cut and dried to be honest. his forearm is bowed and has multiple "elbows" which is a pretty sure sign of mbd. im really sorry to see him like this, but hopefully the great people here can help. all i can recommend...
