In hours, how long does your chams get sunlight?
I know that chams need roughly twelve hours of UVB everyday, not sure if sunlight would shorten that period?
Also, what cages are you using? - as glass filters out most of the UVB rays.
Hope this helps :)
Thanks, but the link it doesn't really answer the question, it focusses more on flap neck care. Thanks for the breakdown in months.
Thanks SSimsswiSS, i'll start checking them around day 220.
Thanks all :p
Hi All,
So my search on all threads turned up empty, and everywhere I do research I get different time frames.
How long do Flap Neck Chameleon eggs take before they hatch?
(I have seen time frames ranging from 5 months to longer than a year)
I just need to know when i need to start...
So sorry for your loss, i have been following Lily's progress, she was a beautiful and wonderful child to you and no parent should go through this.
You are in my thoughts :(
That is a cute cat!
Don't worry, I have to get dragged away by my heels every time we go to the pet shop just to not buy the entire litter!
Every time there are kittens outside with teary eyes just looking for homes!
But that was really nice of you!:D
Hi All,
Here is a pretty cool link i thought might be interesting to some:
It is pretty much a virtual zoo that you can find information on all sort of animals:
http://www.waza.org/virtualzoo/map.php?main=virtualzoo
Use it/Don't use it :p
This is a good question really, i can't really answer it perfectly; but i have fed one or two beetles to my cham, and she didn't mind. (although I am pretty sure my cham will eat anything hehe) :D
Hi All,
I just thought I had to share this priceless photo.
Background:
Fang, 'n flap neck chameleon has been going through a routine shed. and we caught this photo.
She looks like a super hero! (Hence the name Caped Avenger)
Hi there,
But is it really normal only to pee once a week as well?
Luckily when i got home from work she had her movement (i think she knew what was about to happen )
But most of it was orange, so i know this is not a good sign, how can i get her to do this more often?
Do i just...
I know this thread is old, but is it normal for Chams metabolism to be this slow?
Slow enough to only excrete once a week?
The reason i am asking is my cham is doing the exact same. And I have been feeding her way too much (i only found out today you can overfeed them) 10 crickets and about...
It could be that it took up some energy, she did lay her eggs throughout the night (She spent the entire day digging her hole the poor thing). So it would make perfect sense why she would have been exhausted.
Luckily she only did it for a short while:D
Isn't that the point of pets?
Every time i get home i go greet my cham and ask her how her day was...
And if she enjoyed the meal i just gave her...
etc.
It is very sad they can't hear us :(
