I never understood how a chameleon can be considered a 'pet' pet... I mean to me a reptile falls under the fishtank category, simply because it doesn't roam the house/appartement freely(in most cases), doesn't maky any noise, and any place that says no pets, will usually allow a fishtank....
no expert here but, generally advised to not put in fake plants (especially with veileds/plant eating species), to use non transparent cups if you're going to cup feed, no heat pads, none of those night time bulbs, no water bowls, no waterfalls and foggers... (fidel beat me to it)
can't think...
I'm looking for a place that sells reptisuns in ottawa area and the only place I can find is big als (fish place) that sell them for 39.99$, (all lengths are same price )
I ask this because last night I was in a petsmart and they only had repti glos, but for a 5.0 18" it was only...
well to nuke the ants I'd say bring the plant(s) out to the yard or driveway and take the hose to those little buggers, or if you have one, pressure wash them/the plant, that will also do the scrubbing so no need for pesticides and should get rid of any survivors hiding in little cracks
i'd...
yeah I was mostly aiming to get my money back and buy a different one, cause even if they swap it for a new one, I'm still getting the shaft and paying way too much...

my ESU slimline fixture has crapped out on me, I left one morning as usual (the lamp was fine) and I come home to a non stop flickering light which was extremely hot, and was giving off sort of a burning smell. (isn't a ballast supposed to shutdown the lamp when temps get too high?) so I play...

I don't think it is a problem if he's just strolling around, but if he stays there maybe his basking spot is not warm enough and he's trying to get closer to the light/heat?
except that site is french, not german lol...that guy is a member on the other forum i read (french), but might have quit it because of some forum drama/beef
did anyone elses avg detect a threat when going to his site? I've been to that site many times long before today and this has never...
lol I hope you got lots of cash, aren't they worth like thousands? from what I've read they're extremely hard to find because they're one of the species that's almost extinct and are quite hard to reproduce (which explains their high prices)
also arn't they one of the species that requires...
ah well that's not how I had it pictured when you said in a closet with no sunlight, in the first pic I see a window right there so the room must still get decently illuminated enough to keep him pleased light-wise
hope all goes well with him keep us posted
not at all in my experience, if kept dry, the worms and droppings don't even smell like anything, the only thing you'll smell the most (and only if you stick your nose in the box) is the chow, it's got a bit of a funky skunkiness to it lol
what do you mean by M word? M as in MBD? if so, sorry to hear that, how do you think that came about? judging by your above posts, he's getting enough calcium... but 1 out of 3 feedings with d3 sounds like a bit much (to me) depending on how thickly you coat the feeders. As for him often being...
