well the plant in question isn't in a chameleon cage nor does it have anything to do with chameleons but I figured I'd ask here cause I assume there must be some plant people or gardeners on the site.
so my gf bought 2 orchid hybrids, one for my mother, and the other for her own mother, when...
oh ok so they make reptile bulbs in T12? didn't think they did...
I just checked zoomed's site and they don't even specify weather any of the bulbs are t8 or t12 ...unless I'm totally blind and I missed it
yep it will work for sure, except I think reptile UV bulbs are T8, and the link you showed uses t12 bulbs, and be warned, the 10.0 bulb I tried was extremely blue and I hated the color but it was exo terra so i dont know about the zoomeds but the bluish tint of the bulb really didn't display the...
I actually posted a similar post back when I first got my panther cause he was doing the same thing which I thought was sneezing, but someone in the post suggested it was just a little 'huff 'n puff' they do when they're mad or kind of like a sign that you disturbed them or something. I think...
he's looking really good and colorful, i really like how the tops of his blue bars went red on his spikes and he looks like he's giving you the evil eye haha almost like a 'what you lookin at punk' kinda look
and I agree your camera doesn't do him justice but anyways very nice!! he looks like...
funny you say that, I actually guessed florida cause it reminded me of the houses/yards I saw when we visited my cousin who was living in the zephyr hills area at the time, that might not be the name of where she lived but I know it was one of those new developments not far from tampa
that's happened to me too, and everything went downhill from there, they started dying like crazy and it was a pain to keep clean, everyday there was a new handful of dead ones so I was constantly cleaning them and throwing out the dying/paralyzed ones trying to quarantine the healthy ones but...
looking blue! can't really tell you what he'll look like but my panther has gone through many color stages so far, and doesn't really look anything like the day I got him, so depending on your cham's exact age, he could end up changing quite a bit. But hey that's half the fun of owning these...
thanks guys, he is from a reptile shop/zoo here in ottawa, which got the babies from a breeder named Connie Dorval, the same source that Will Hayward and Chameleontario got their breeders from (I think)
also, isn't there a theory about chameleons wanting to regurgitate because of the texture of anything oily? (or something along those lines)
If you are going to do it maybe injecting it into the worm would work
Well I haven't posted pictures of him since I first got him which was back in May when I signed up to the forum, so here he is as of yesterday. Based on what I know, he is somewhere between 6 and 7 months old (I think). Sorry for the lack of photography skills, he was gazing away at something...
i think it's just another one of those fancy marketing names, maybe a nickname for ambilobes that have a certain 'look' with their coloring... I don't think they're a separate locale (although I could be wrong), to me, they're all ambilobes, whatever color their bars turn out to be and whatever...
wow they all look surprisingly healthy and in good shape, why the ugly cham title? lol
the male panther reminds me of my guy, similar coloring, except mine (ambanja) has those red dots kinda all over
and I actually really like that veileds colors, really camo-ish, and his curvy casque...
I did read and that's why I'm confused lol... in your other thread you say "I just purchased" as if the transaction was done/succesful and that you were simply waiting for them to arrive.... what I'm asking is; what exactly happened to stop you from getting them?
I wouldn't worry about that part much, if there's water on the plants, and he's thirsty, my guess is that he'll drink, which he probably is but you're just not there to see it
I've read of a way to introduce chameleons to a new cage/habitat by placing the old/smaller cage into the bigger/new one, open the door of the small one and let him do his own exploring/adjusting for a few days, that way he's not being 'forced' to live in this new strange environment. Then when...
