Would work to use a vicks humidifier for a mister during the day....and would it hurt to put salt in it to make it mist more or would that be bad for the chameleon and the plant?

I have heard many different methods on how to feed flightless fruit flies to baby chameleons but was wondering if anyone had success with certain ways... I have heard both cup feeding and letting the fruit flies climb up the tree and let the chams hunt for them... Any suggestions?
