My veiled cham hisses while sleep!!!!

"Hissing" while sleeping sounds a lot like a respiratory infection to me. A very bad one too. Dehydration could easily be fixed and the Cham probably wouldn't stop eating. 2 Weeks is a very long time to not eat. It's great that you went to the vet though, I respect you for that. Ask the vet...

    Lighting question??

Get one 5.0 fluorescent tube bulb. CFL's can damage a chameleons eyes. No lighting or heating is needed at night unless your temps get below like 65, and during the day you can use an average incandescent house bulb. 100 watt will be way too high. I use a 40 watt with great results...

Thanks guys! I'll DEFINITELY make sure to change some things. I'll be sure not to offer the roaches any more meat. Is it alright if Pepitos eyes are sunken in when he's asleep? The lights are off and so is he, and I just noticed it. If not, then I'll be sure to mist more often and give...

Trioceros sternfeldi or Trioceros Rudis ?

I was under the assumption that sternfeldis ARE Rudis chameleons. :o I did research just because my last name is Sternfeld. :D I'm not surprised if I'm totally incorrect though. Don't just take my word for it.

Nah, nobody poops but you. That stuff is just concentrated evil.

    Just playing it safe.

I gave the roaches a F/T mouse last night which they seem to have thoroughly enjoyed.

The ambient is about 78 degrees during the day, and about 70 at night. I'll be sure to gut-load the mealworms. What do you recommend feeding the roaches to gut-load them?

    Just playing it safe.

Thanks! I know, he's such a nice guy. I can't wait for him to get bigger too. I'm probably going to free range him, but if not I'll get him a 2x2x4 cage rather soon.

Actually, I just found a small white urate in the bottom of the cage.

    Just playing it safe.

Cage Info: I have him in a 24x16x28 screen cage. TONS of fake vines and plants. Live umbrella plant (The safe kind.) Hot spot is about 89 degrees, I'm unsure of humidity because I just mist several times a day. Paper towel substrate. 5.0 Repti Glo uvb tube bulb. He is usually basking and is...

    Feeder cup show off!!

I use a clear 4 inch deli cup. That's it. Add dusted feeders and go! Pepito loves it and will occasionally hand feed.

    First Cham! :D

He just did it! He just ate a hornworm off my finger! It only took about 10 seconds from being introduced to in his mouth! I don't dust my hornworms. Does anybody?

    First Cham! :D

I got my Cham from the blonde haired dude in the back left in the venomous area. The chams were allowed to sit on the lamp fixtures. I bought my sunbeam from the same guy. Pepito LOVES roaches and hornworms. I've yet to try him on mealworms. He readily cup feeds and I'm working on hand...

    "Fired Up"

Show a male a female or another male. Piss him off, although if you stress him too much he'll go black. Or black spotted.

    First Cham! :D

I'll be sure to post extra pics of CRT. ;) My Argus monitor is named CRT, pronounced See-arty because CRT monitors are those really old massive computer screens, and the lizard is an Argus MONITOR. He's a little hissy at the moment from so much stress, but he's a great lizard. I can't wait...

    First Cham! :D

Indeed. Not enough, though. :P I never did buy a sulcata, day gecko, or a red eye crocodile skink.
