The other half wants Frisian horses and large pastures for our dream home. Me? I want a green house and Parsonii Parsonii and to hopefully breed them.
Last one I saw for sale was 2,500$ Full grown mind you can't find what site it was. I don't know if this is an example of the average prices...
I had to install screen on the side of his cage, as the spaces are large enough for adult female dubia to escape. Basically just a 1X1 screen and place the dubia on that, they climb immediately and my guy tends to enjoy it. He will only hand feed/ "free range" 1-2 dubia a day unfortunately...
I'm really excited and hope he does start to regularly eat fruits and veggies, I have fake vines in there right now but hes never attempted to eat them. I'm looking into getting real vines, was just wanting to be sure he isn't going to be sick. Hes taken a few bites but hasn't really torn off...
Basically chameleons shouldn't be housed together unless the enclosure is so large that they can easily avoid each other, and even then only done by very experienced keepers. Had they been babies, its a little less of a concern. I would just divide the cage as suggested by patrickfraser and...
I love Jacksons, in fact since I was a child the chameleon I wanted was a Jackson. I didn't even know there were other types. I went with the Veiled over the Jackson at the pet store (They had babies of both) because the Veiled is a "beginner" chameleon. Had no idea about the colors etc, but...
I've heard the blood is an irritant which is why I was concerned, will definitely offer him some veggies, his urates are pure white and I see him drink from the dripper, I will be starting the dripper earlier though.
Too bad we aren't all in the same city :p Definitely check out (Vegas Chad) Tiki at the expo, great set up :) Last time I saw them they had pygmies, adult and baby veileds.
From my understanding, they are hard to digest due to the shell. So a beetle would then have a thicker shell, and thus even harder to digest.
I may be wrong.
Heres a few things about your husbandry,
First thing is feeders. You need a much better gutload:

For ease of flukers orange cubes, you can do the same thing with the same price much better result...
I'm sure this has been asked and answered many times before, but I was curious as to how many minutes/hours in the sun does the same amount of Vitamin D3 as UVB lights minutes/hours?
I have a window by the cage I can open when the sun is directly at his basking spot, wondering if I can open...
Hey,
You really should buy your own supplements. Buying from the store everyday will get expensive, bulk buying (although annoying me very greatly right now) is the best for finances.
What supplements does he use? Powder will only last for so long, so unless you feed off right away most of...
