Caught these wild mantids long time ago but as you'll know they die after a good 8-9 months. These pics were taken atleast 3 months back i think. I got them to lay their ootheca which had about 10 eggs per ooth. Beautiful mantids and i released most of the nymphs while i fed off the rest to...

Find quite a few of them on the desert grasses here....Very hard to spot though and they look a bit more like grasshoppers although the nymphs look more elongated and horse-like...No problems feeding them, chams love em. This is what they look like over here...

I say male...I think i see the slightest of hemipenal bulges but the let experts have their take.
