I've just started to give my cham (about 2-3 months old) small crickets instead of house flies. Since he's only able too eat the small ones and they tend to grow pretty fast, I need to buy new ones maybe 2 times a week.
Do you got any good tip or that's just the way it is?
I've tried to...
I gutloaded my fruitflies with some fruit, just throw it down there and they will suck it all up!
And to the "dust part" I used to shake of a bunch of them in a smaller cup, put in a small amount of powder, shake them around a little then I just let them free range in the big umbrella plant...

After my baby ate a fly today he started to "cheew air", first I thought "omg he's shocking", then he stopped after a 5 secondes of cheewing. Never seen him do this before, and it's not the first fly he eats...
Do you got any idea of what that was?
Ah thanks for the heads up everyone! :D Then I can be calm!
My heart almost stopped for a seconde! Guess I just need to get used to all those crazy things :D Guess i'm overprotective, as many others....
Came home from work today, and this is what I see...
My first reaction was "OMG NO! HE'S DEAD!" all pale white and in that position..
Seconde reaction "he must be sick!"
Then I misted his cage and gave him 3 flies, they where all eaten in a couple of minutes.
So I guess he's okay :D
Is...
Thank Swayne, sure he's a cutie right :D
Thanks for the correction , i've red that they can't overeat, but they didn't say any reason why not so I trust you :)
I will start to give him about 3 tomorrow morning, and then 1 more etc. and try to figure out about how many. Will post another pic...
Hi all!
Today I started to give me little guy flies instead of fruit flies. My only concern is how many should I feed him? 3 each time? or more? I know he won't overeat but, I just don't want to leave them in the cage and let them invade him :)
ah thank you! I just thought it was weird that he rather hang in the roof than chill'in on a branch or a big nice umbrella plant :D But I guess he's okay then, and no both the lamps are on a safe distance for him :)
I'll guess that i'm just overprotective :)
Thanks for sharing your...
Hi cham people! :D
My little guy got both branches and plants to bask on but he seems to prefer hanging up side down in the roof and bask :/ could this be harmful in anyway? Should I redirect the lamp and in that way force him too bask on a branch?
He's now in his big cage and seems ok, he drinks, climb and just seems ok :)
Do you guys got any good idea how to feed him the fruit flies easy? And I can tell you that thos flies can't flie like normal fruit flies :)
