    Whats in YOUR gutload?

Oh wow you just toss them all in there, won't they go bad by time they eat it? I do the frozen cube technique to extend the life, although I may just start using 2-3 items and switching up like Sandra suggested. This week I made acouple batches of spaghetti squash, yam, red leaf lettuce...

    Over feeding super worms?

Keep the chameleons cage at 100? What species? Seems pretty high. I've heard of breeders never having an issue, and neither meal worms or supers are 'good'. Just treats. I believe you can gutload both however. As long as you have a chewer I wouldn't worry too much, but then again I won't...

    Mellers care

@Summoner12 Thanks, now I'm in love with Melleri. The other half is going to hate you.

Am I imagining what I saw?

Its known that chameleons will begin to harbor hate for their captors, which is why many breeders begin to side with the anti-chameleon keeper group. This has been going on for decades. Good luck.

So wife not happy about dubia "beetles"

I've done the same thing, got roughly 1500-2000 Dubia in a single bin in my closet. Not a single person in the house knows about them. God forbid they escape.

Is this normal looking on a Veiled?

Yup, my 5-6 mo Male Veiled has similar markings, they are natural and depend on the parents/genetics. As long as they are sort of symmetrical its likely fine. However if you have one blotch on one side of his body that seems irregular then its something to worry about. Raised, oddly colored, etc.

Intrusion of roaches or a colony of roaches

What kind? That's what I love about Dubia. Apparently due to how long it takes for them to mature 4-5 months unless you're house is roach heaven with high temps and readily available food they have slim chances of intruding.

    Over feeding super worms?

High fat content can cause Gout, which will be spendy in vet bills so I hear. Crickets/Roaches are usually the "staple"

    Going to get a chameleon

I don't know too much about Panthers, but I hear the care is similar to Veileds. 100w heat lamp is probably too high, but a more experienced member may be able to tell you that. Also, a heat lamp at night will disturb your panther at night. They have a "3rd eye" that senses light. If you need...

    Phoenix Worm Care

Sorry if its been asked a thousand times, but I jumped on WestCoastRoaches sale on FB for some Phoenix Worms. 100 large, question is: They say they will only live a week in the cup. As I only have one chameleon and I don't think I should/want to feed him 14 worms a day how can I prolong their...

"Importation of the insects is banned by most states" Uh.. How true is this? I hear only Hawaii and Florida have bans on Dubia

    Growth

They stop growing after about a year, they will shed body parts individually. They never 'stop' growing but you are talking centimeters. Probably won't notice the change. Best bet is to fill out this form, and have pictures. Makes it easier on the experienced keepers...

Just curious as to whether or not this chameleon is healthy

I believe its easier if you ask to hold him and take pictures that way. You want to look at the eyes- Are they moving independently? Is he/she actively climbing your hands? Do you hear labored breathing? These would be the basics. Knowing its petco he likely isn't getting proper...

how to get chameleon to eat from my hand

Never heard of a one month old screaming, usually they should be pretty docile at that age. I'm no expert though. I personally only fed my guy at 2-3 months when I first got him by hand feeding. My screen is too large, even adult dubia can escape so it was no choice. Eventually he had no...
