No substrate. Good. Dripper. Good. Linear UVB good. Make sure your temps are right.....I'd suggest getting a digital thermometer and hydrometer because anolog ones usually suck.....and don't read accurately . But overall looks good. I'm asuming the bowl in the bottom is for feeding. Nice...
I have a pothose and use reptilglos. I have no issue keeping them alive considering they require low light. It's hard to kill pothos haha. But yeah it will be fine. Remember. Never use coil UVB reptiglos....only tube reptilglos... Coils cause eye issue in chameleons, along with other problems.
Ehh....the hole light on top issue is alway debated....I've used lights on top with no issue or burns for years for all my herpes....I mean if you've got a 100 degree basking area then obviously....you wouldn't wan that. But as a baby, the temps are not going to be high enough for a burn...
You need a common household incandescent bulb for basking. 40wattsshould give you and 80 degree basking. You also need a linear UVB tube. Not a coil. Coil UVB bulbs cause eye issue in chameleons. Get either a reptiglo 5.0 or a reptisun 5.0 both are proven ok to use. make sure it's a linear...
Yeah. No more then a 80 degree basking spot for a baby. Now....you make me very happy because it looks as if you've actualy done research. Continue research to improve what you have now. Humidity should be at 50% stand by. 90% after a misting. Spray at least 4 times a day.ex. I have an adult...
His enclosure should substrate free. Because if eaten acidently it can cause intestinal impaction which will kill the chameleon. Lhonestly since you don't have a UVB light right now I can garentee that your chameleon has iriversable beginning stages of metabolic bone disease. Therefore. Until...
Of course. When I did first see the full thing when I was bathing him in the warm water.....it scared me to death. Thank Lordy Lordy Lordy lort that he pulled it back in. Haha
That of course was my supection. I did shower him with warm water. He en released the plug, and pulled it all back in. But the next day it was out again with another plug stick in out.....so i gently pulled it out with no issue. The nub went back in....and then another time .....it was out again...
Yeah...just so happens money is very tight. And can't really afford it unless it's a dire emergency. I will never breed him, so that's not an issue, and he's been living a normal chameleon life. So for now I'm not going to the vet. If it turns purple or any other color then pink, then obviously...
