What colour is the glove you are using? Maybe it reminds her of a male or other female trying to invade her space? Have you tried different colours, maybe you could even try gluing pieces of stick to the glove so it looks like a branch coming towards her?
You might look a bit like Edward...
Thanks! I do plan on adding more of the Bio-vine, I buy a new one every 2 weeks when I get paid (it's so expensive:eek:) Unfortunately I had to kind of waste 2 pieces of it to support the planter that the pothos is in. When I hung it on the frame of the flex itself, the whole thing started...
I redecorated my 7.5 month old Ambanja Panther, Aslan's, enclosure yesterday. I wanted to show you guys a before and after shot...would have helped if I had remembered to take the 'before' pic;)
Ahh well, It's a 2.5'x2.5'x6' Flexarium, I originally had only a ficus and a few fake vines. I...
That's very nice, I want to convert the 18"x18"x24" terrarium (same style as yours) that I had my panther cham in when he was a babe, into something very similar to what you've designed. I want to get a small group of pygmies for it.
Those are great videos, especially for those who don't have the benefit of picking up their Cham from the breeder, you can only explain so much through an e-mail or phone call. The Chameleon-keeping community will greatly benefit from this series.
Thank You Screameleons for providing those...
Wow, those are some colors!
My male had the same thing at around that age, I was worried it was worms or something so I looked through his poo but couldn't see anything. I think it is the beginings of sperm plugs. I still find the occasional little 'deposit' of this kind around his cage, but...
That is early! My Cham goes to his 'sleep perch' (it's funny, when he was really little, he'd sleep in a different spot every night, now he only sleeps on one of 2 branches, which are right beside each other) earlier in the day too now, around 7 pm. The sun does disappear behind the trees...
Great info Socalison and Hallenhe, very informative.
The lack of rods must be why they go to sleep so quickly at night, I guess if you can't see anything, you may as well take a nap and wait 'til morning!
It's like his desire to sleep is directly attached to my light switch;)
Maybe we could get one going through the keepers on this forum? I think most serious breeders are at least familiar with the site now (in North America anyways)...it would be a time consuming project, but well worth it in the end.
Thoughts?
There should be wild locusts of some kind there (grasshoppers or crickets) they can live in many different climates, although it may be a little too cold out for them right now too. Do you have snow there?
I agree with Kinyonga that s/he may be trying to brumate due to your seasonal temps...
I agree, and I'd much rather pay a high quality breeder top dollar then go to pet store where you'll more then likely pay more anyways for an inferior quality animal.
