Since silkworms are supposed to be high in calcium and one of the most nutritious foods, is it necessary to coat them with additional minerals/supplements etc? Or just feed them as is to my panther.
He still gets crickets, these are just a supplemental treat.
Got my feeder cup with the grid today. Wow. This is great. My cham is almost 5 months old and went for the crickets within minutes. Love it. Makes feeding so much easier.
Yah, I may do the foam, but have some other ideas first I want to experiment with. But for now, I'm just waiting a bit to see how these plants do.
As far as the vines guys, I don't have any other info yet.
Someone told me it might be grapevine? I found it in a bin at a local shop...looked like it was sitting there a long time. It was a store brand. I'll have to see if I can find out what it is.
From what I've been told and read....make sure it dries out between misting so I'd let that guide you with the frequency and times.
I was advised by the breeder to shoot for 50% humidity. I bought a controller with a probe to monitor humidity and mist as needed.
Just arrived today from Chameleon Paradise. :)

The final accessory has been added: :)
He's 4 months old and from Chameleon Paradise. Cage is a little big for him, but I spoke with Bruce and I have been "trained". :D
Sire: "Sourpatch"
Great job!
Here's my mudpan rain done with 3 greenhouse nozzles. It does a great job extending beyond the sides. You can see that in the video.

Thanks for the kind words.
Bill, much of the inspiration was from your site...and of course all the great info on this forum. Except for the little pots (for now) I used your double pot technique too from your advanced cage setup. That was all very helpful info.
I should have my...
Thanks! Here's the latest:
More "levels" were added throughout the uvb and basking areas. And an additional branch below it all that leads up into everything was added for it to climb off the floor if necessary.
Also got rid of the fantasy ferns and added more birds nest ferns. Got a...
After looking around as well for same size, I went with the Dragonstrand clear cage. I need to update some pics, but here's my thread:

I'd say the only drawback of...
Here's the video of the first one that I made out of the Zoomed. It uses 2 nozzles. Works fine but longer would be better for a third nozzle. Fits with 10" light dome, but has to be too close to the screen side of the cage.

And here's the second...
Any opinions on 8" vs 10" dome for a basking light?
Searched and searched but all I find are threads talking about wattage for basking lights...
I have a 24"x24"x48" cage which will house a panther soon. Between the Quad T5 fixture and the 10" dome, there's not much room for my raindome...
