    Hornworms live vs eggs?

Hello, I finally got some hornworms and thankfully my guy likes them. My question is do you get live or eggs? I'm mostly thinking of the overall cost. I'm also wondering what it's like to deal with the eggs? Thanks!

    Dusting question

I've got another rookie question! We've been dusting the crickets all along, but have been trying some other feeders like phoenix worms. If they are a naturally high in calcium food like phoenix or hornworms do you guys dust them too? I haven't up to this point, but we are just trying out new...

    UVB bulb

We just changed to a larger enclosure (34 W x 40 H). Been using a 15W, 5.0, 18 in UVB bulb. I don't plan on getting a larger light as I'll need room on top for the rain dome I hope to get. I did just get a 15W, 10.0 figuring it would have better penetration in a larger cage. Thoughts?

    Bug burger

I actually just started using the bug burger as well as 1-2 fresh pieces of fruit instead of the crud I had been using (flukers dry cricket food) and I have to say the crickets are staying in really good shape, no dead loss at all. I was always losing some and didn't know any better until...

    Mister vs Rain Dome

I was just curious what everyone else has used and liked. We currently mist by hand, since we got our guy his big boy cage I am looking into a nice timed system. The rain dome looks pretty cool and also looks like there would be less overspray. We tried the Repti Rain in his smaller cage, but it...

    New enclosure adjustment?

Not a very good picture, sorry. It's still a work in progress, there are 6 braches across and 2 vines that go up/down. Was trying to find another large plant, have to get to a nursery to find another safe one. 2 Dracena and an umbrella plant in there now, he loves to sleep in the larger plant...

    New enclosure adjustment?

Hello, we just put our 7 month old panther into his big boy cage. ( 34w x 40h ) Just wondering if it's normal to have a decreased appetite during the adjustment time? He doesn't seem to be eating much, but it has only been 2 days. May also change to a 10.0 UVB bulb with the larger cage size...

    Panther Palace?

I'm not sure if it's Reptibreeze, the only Reptibreeze I could find was 24 x 24 x48, this one is 18 x 34 x 40 and has a hinged door on the front as well as a flip up door along the bottom for feeding. I bought a board slightly larger to put under it, so hopefully I can put it across my shelf. A...

    Panther Palace?

Anyone else have the Panther Palace from Kammerflage Kreations? I just got mine yesterday. All set up, however the front door is just slightly off, maybe not a big deal but little crickets may find their way out. I may just go to the hardware store and find a small latch. Just curious if anyone...

    Phoenix Worms/Cup vs free range?

Well, this is 2 questions in 1. Any thoughts on Phoenix worms? I can only get crickets, mealworms and phoenix worms locally. I am looking into getting silkworms online, but would rather find things I can get locally. ( To support local business, also save on shipping) ( and I just can't get...

    Do Chameleons nap?

My panther doesn't nap, his eyes are open until 30 min after lights out and then 30 min before lights are back on. My pygmy and carpet chams only napped during the day when they were getting old.

    Cricket Food and Supplements

He also gets mealworms as a treat a few times a week. We don't have a lot of other choices for prey unless I try flightless fruit flies or other worms. So, what it looks like is that I need to get cricket food from the super market and not the pet store.....

    Cricket Food and Supplements

I see a lot of threads about dusting, and I'm sorry I'm asking more.... When we got our pygmy and carpet chams. the pet store we got them from had us use Repashy calcium plus and told me to use lightly every day. Also use Fluker's High calcium cricket food. I had been using the Fluker's...

    Plastic netting inside screen enclosure?

Hello, as we are setting up a bigger enclosure, I was just reading an article that suggested lining the inside of the screen walls with plastic netting to reduce the chance of toes/nail getting caught and injured. Just wondering what you guys thought? (sorry so many questions since joining...
