If you have a thermometer then use it to measure the temps at your basking branch. Everytime I rearrange my cage I measure the temps to make sure its not too hot.
I have my basking branch 6 inches from the top of my cage. Just make sure that your cham has enough room to climb on it with out rubbing its back on the top.
Well yesterday morning Dom started to shed around his legs, and when I came home last night he was peeling like crazy. Here's some pics of him this morning. I've had him for a little over a week now.

If your still worried, I would switch to a 60 watt. You could monitor the temps and if they aren't what you want then change it. I mean what do lightbulbs run today 60cents??

How long have you had him? It looks like he could be around 5-6 months old. My chameleon that I got today is only 4 months old and he's a little bit smaller than yours. He looks good btw.
You should start to notice more and more color when your chameleon sheds/gets older. Chameleon's don't always shed in on piece and I'm sure that it can take a couple of days to completely shed. I bet some one else with more experience will chime in with some more knowledgible information.
